Nokia is teasing an announcement to be held April 24th followed by a question and answer session with a special guest – that’s according to a post by Ian Delany, of Nokia Conversations –a blog that’s meant to help Nokia bypass other outlets and talk straight to its users.

Could Nokia be gearing up for an announcement of new Windows Phones? A teaser photo provided by Nokia Conversations does reveal the edge of a QWERTY keyboard. Though the LG Quantum and Dell Venue Pro offered Windows Phone users the option of using a QWERTY keyboard, those devices were based on Windows Phone 7.

No Windows Phone 8 device currently ships with a hardware keyboard. However, Nokia’s Asha feature phones do ship with a QWERTY keyboard and closely mimic the design language of some Nokia Lumia devices.

However remote, it is possible that the announcement and question and answer session with Nokia’s “special guest” could telegraph the official confirmations of many of the devices rumored to be arriving to customers in the United States over the next three months. These devices include the Nokia Lumia Catwalk, and the Nokia Lumia 928.

Allegedly, photos of the Catwalk device leaked last week to a Chinese social network. These pictures showed off a device with a large camera lens, and consisting of a new two-material body design. According to reports, the Nokia Catwalk could feature a 4.5” OctaOLED display with a resolution of 1290 X 720, a dual-core SnapDragon S4 processor, and 1GB of RAM.

Photos rumored to be that of the Nokia Lumia 928 leaked recently, that device featured a black casing and logos for Verizon and its 4G LTE network. In addition to carrier availability, this picture also confirmed the availability of Nokia PureView camera technology for the Lumia 928. Currently, it’s only available on the company’s flagship the Nokia Lumia 920 for AT&T.

Both the Catwalk and Lumia 920 are rumored hit store shelves sometime this spring.

I don’t think people will like using Lumia devices with QWERTY but still there are people who prefer QWERTY over complete touch. No doubt Lumia is doing great but still lots of efforts to do in order to maintain the momentum gained. Thanks for the information :)
