Samsung Galaxy S4 Shown in New Color Option
The Samsung Galaxy S4 launched in white and black, but should soon see a new color option which will appeal to Galaxy S 3 owners who liked the Pebble Blue option.
A new Samsung Galaxy S4 leak shows a new Samsung Galaxy S4 color alongside the White Frost and Black Mist versions currently on sale.
The new Blue Arctic Samsung Galaxy S4 color shows up in a product catalog for NTT DOCOMO. According to the rbmen, the Blue Arctic Samsung Galaxy S4 could see a reveal on May 15th and arrive soon after.
This new Samsung Galaxy S4 color variant is likely tied to NTT DOCOMO and Japan for the time being, though Samsung is known for introducing multiple color options. The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is available in at least half a dozen colors across the world.
Samsung reportedly avoided a blue Samsung Galaxy S4 option at launch in order to avoid production issues which plagued the Pebble Blue Galaxy S3 in 2012.
While the Arctic Blue Samsung Galaxy S4 may not arrive in the U.S., that doesn’t mean Samsung isn’t planning new Galaxy S4 colors for U.S. carriers. We’ve seen several Samsung Galaxy S3 colors arrive in the U.S., with the Purple Galaxy S3 hitting Sprint just as the Galaxy S4 arrived.
This version of the Samsung Galaxy S4 doesn’t bring anything new to the table in terms of specs and features, with the following details accompanying the leak.
- 1.9Ghz Quad-Core Snapdragon processor
- 5-inch Full HD Super AMOLED
- 2GB RAM
- 32GB Storage
- Micro SD card slot
- WiFi a/b/g/n
- Bluetooth 4.0 + LE
- 13MP rear camera, 2.1MP front
- 136.6 x 69.8 x 7.9mm
- Android 4.2
Samsung is reportedly holding an event later this month to announce the three new Samsung Galaxy S4 models. This event will reportedly show off the Galaxy S4 mini, Galaxy S4 Activ and Galaxy S4 Zoom. New leaks show photos of the Galaxy S4 mini next to the Galaxy S4 and a leak points to the rugged Samsung Galaxy S4 hitting AT&T. A Bluetooth filing may tip the Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom is close to release. The Galaxy S4 Activ is reportedly arriving in orange and the S4 mini and S4 Zoom in black and white.
Samsung could use this event to show off new colors if the rumored mid-may Arctic Blue Galaxy S4 release does not take place.
