AT&T Scores Another Galaxy S4 Exclusive

One of the four new Samsung Galaxy S4 colors will be arriving in the United States with AT&T announcing that it will stock the red Galaxy S4 starting in June with a pre-order planned for tomorrow.

In recent weeks, we’ve seen a number of new Samsung Galaxy S4 colors emerge from the shadows, including a blue Galaxy S4 that landed on Japanese carrier NTT Docomo and a brown Galaxy S4 that was revealed in Samsung’s own short movie starring the Samsung Galaxy S4. Those two colors have been confirmed for arrival today along with purple and red.

Wasting no time, AT&T announced that it will be carrying the Aurora Red Samsung Galaxy S4, exclusively, starting June 14th, with pre-orders for the device starting tomorrow, May 24th. The device is going to cost the same as the Galaxy S4 that is on shelves right now, $199.99 on-contract, and for now it appears that the device is coming only in 16GB form.

The carrier will make the device available both in stores and online and it will come to compliment the white and black Galaxy S4 models that AT&T already sells.

It’s unclear if any of the other colors will be making their home on other carriers, AT&T included, though we will likely find out later on this year as the new colors are expected to make their debut this summer.

Pre-orders start tomorrow for AT&T’s new colored Galaxy S4.

The red AT&T Galaxy S4 will be the first non-black or white Galaxy S4 to hit the United States though we don’t expect it to be the last. Samsung typically releases its phones in a number of different color variants and in the case of the Galaxy S3, we saw it arrive in a host of different hues. So while Samsung hasn’t announced anything yet, consumers not heading to AT&T should hold out hope.

AT&T’s new variant will be the same, hardware and software wise, as the other Galaxy S4 models which means it will include a 5-inch 1080p display, quad-core processor, 13MP, slim form factor, Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, and Samsung’s new TouchWiz.

The carrier also exclusively, at least for now, carries the 32GB Galaxy S4, a device that comes with a more expensive $250 price tag.
