LG will add a new color variant to the Nexus 4, the company’s flagship pure Android device this week.

According to a press release made amiable by the company today, users will soon be able to pick up a version of the latest Nexus device with a white rear. The company expects to make the device available in Hong Kong, tomorrow, May 29th, and make it available to users in “select markets” in Asia, North America, Europe, and the Middle East “over the next couple of weeks”.

Instead of a black plastic bezel with black coloring behind the device’s glass rear, this Nexus 4 will ship with a pure white bezel and white coloring. Notably, the device will retain its black front, giving the white Nexus 4 a sort of domino look. It’s likely that LG chose to leave the device’s front bezel black in order to keep the distractions around the device’s display to a minimum.

The white Nexus 4’s internals are identical to those of the Nexus 4 that’s currently available to users. It features a 4.7 Inch IPS display, 2 GB of RAM and a Snapdragon S4 Processor. The company has not announced pricing for the white Nexus 4, nor has it detailed what storage sizes the device will carry.

Because most of the device’s internals are the same, the white Nexus 4 will hold onto all of the features that made it a flagship Android device when it was announced last year, including wireless charging, a gorgeous display and a rock-bottom price tag.

Currently, the Nexus 4 costs users $299 for a device with 8GB of onboard storage, $349 for a device with 16GB of storage when purchased from the Google Play Store. Those prices do not include the discounts that come with a two-year service agreement.

The white Nexus 4 had been rumored to be making its debut alongside Android 4.3 June 10th, as neither materialized during Google’s keynote at Google I/O. While we now know that LG intends to ship the white Nexus 4 with Android 4.2, little is known about when Google will ship Android 4.3 though it will no doubt be made available to Nexus 4 users as the device is billed as one of the few ways to get a “pure” Android experience.
