Verizon HTC One Mini Unlikely At Launch

Published

on

The HTC One Mini appears destined for a launch sometime this summer with a release rumored for August. And while consumers in the United States are likely excited about the device’s arrival, a well-placed leakster claims that a Verizon HTC One Mini isn’t likely to emerge any time soon.

One of the more heavily rumored devices at the moment is the HTC M4, a device that recently emerged in the wild, and one that should be coming to shelves as an HTC One Mini, a smaller version of HTC’s larger flagship, the HTC One. The device is pegged as having a 4.3-inch 720p display, high-quality design, fast processor, solid camera and appears set to challenge the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini.

The Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini may be official but it’s still missing many of the important elements including price, release date and of course, carriers. Same goes for the HTC One Mini, leaving consumers dreaming about where it might be heading. While the Galaxy S4 Mini is rumored for AT&T’s 4G LTE network, the HTC One Mini is currently rumored to not be coming to a carrier in the U.S., at least not for awhile.

According to notorious HTC leakster @LlabTooFeR, the HTC One Mini will not be available on Verizon Wireless, the United States’ largest 4G LTE provider, at launch and if it does come to the carrier, it won’t be for months, after the international community gets their hands on it. This of course isn’t confirmed but given the source, it’s probably accurate.

Verizon, remember, was slow to announce the larger HTC One model for its network and with the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, iPhone 5S and more on the way, it’s entirely possible that the carrier will be slow to the HTC One Mini or, worse, may never announce it at all.

AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile could be quick to pick up the HTC One Mini but thus far, there are no signs that it will be coming to an American carrier in the future.

Well considering the HTC One hasn’t shown up at VZW yet it should come as no surprise that the mini would arrive late as well. You want a device first, don’t ever look to get it from VZW, unless it’s an exclusive.
