HTC One Mini Pegged for T-Mobile

The HTC One Mini, thought to be arriving in August as the HTC One Mini, hadn’t seen any rumored carriers emerge, that is, until today when a noted HTC leakster pegged the smaller HTC One variant for T-Mobile though he remains uncertain about an arrival on Verizon.

Over the past few weeks, the HTC One Mini has made itself known not only as a Samsung Galaxy S4 competitor, but as a viable option for smartphone shoppers thanks to its rumored 4.3-inch 720p display, dual-core processor, Ultrapixel camera, Sense 5 software and a full metal design, just like the larger HTC One model.

Rumors have suggested that the HTC One Mini will be heading to shelves in August though a specific date remains unknown. Until today, we had heard several Galaxy S4 Mini carriers rumored, including AT&T and Verizon, though whispers had not mentioned any for the HTC One Mini. Finally, weeks after rumors first surfaced, we have our first potential HTC One Mini carrier.

According to HTC developer and insider @LLabTooFeR, the HTC One Mini will be heading to T-Mobile in the United States. T-Mobile won’t confirm this and given its August launch date, it likely won’t for quite some time. And while he is certain that it will be heading to T-Mobile, he isn’t sure about an HTC One Mini release on Verizon saying that he isn’t sure that one will come in the near future.

That could potentially mean that one won’t arrive at launch or won’t arrive at all, a sharp blow to those that may have wanted a Verizon HTC One Mini. Plans of course can change so a Verizon model can’t be ruled out just yet.

The HTC One Mini is thought to be one of two HTC One variants making it to shelves later this year with another larger, HTC T6, also known as the HTC One Max, pegged for arrival to compete with the likes of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3.

I have T Mobile service through a company called Solavei. I wonder if the HTC Mini will work in there profile? We shall see.
