The Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini, which doesn’t yet have a release date, has gone up for pre-order on a few carriers in the United Kingdom including Orange and T-Mobile and it looks like the Galaxy S4 Mini release date, based on shipping times, is set for the beginning of July.
While Samsung remains mum on a release date for the already announced Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini, it seems carriers in the United Kingdom have no problem spoiling the surprise, if one was intended, as they have put the device up for pre-order ahead of a shipping date that lands on July 5th.
Both T-Mobile and Orange are offering the Galaxy S4 Mini to customers in the United Kingdom with pricing that ranges from free to £26.00. It’s also available on the 4G LTE network of EE, should buyers want those extra data speeds. Like the others, it’s available starting for free and then shifts in price depending on the contract and data plan.
And while the carriers don’t advertise a specific shipping date, Omio went through the process and confirmed a shipping date of July 5th on Orange and T-Mobile. What this means is that the release date for the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini, in the United Kingdom, and possibly elsewhere, should fall in and around July 5th.
Samsung hasn’t made anything official and we imagine that release dates will differ from carrier to carrier around the world but at this point, interested consumers should expect dates to arrive in early July, unless Samsung decides to drastically alter its plans. We’ve heard July marked for the Galaxy S4 Mini release before so this is not a surprise.
The Galaxy S4 Mini is expected to arrive on AT&T’s 4G LTE network so it’s entirely possible that the carrier will announce and release the phone, for cheap, around the same time. With an event coming up next week, we could finally see these dates locked into stone.
Of course, we already know what the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini is all about. It features a 4.3-inch qHD display, Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, Galaxy S4 software features, 8MP camera, and a dual-core processor.
It will be going up against the highly-touted HTC One Mini when HTC releases its miniature flagship in August.
