HTC One Max (HTC T6) Rumored for Verizon

Published

on

HTC’s rumored Samsung Galaxy Note 3 competitor, known under its codename HTC T6 and its rumored retail name HTC One Max, is rumored to be heading to a couple of carriers in the United States including Verizon Wireless, the nation’s largest 4G LTE carrier, a carrier that still hasn’t even released the smaller HTC One.

Shortly after the HTC One’s arrival on AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile, rumors sprouted up concerning a larger HTC One that would challenge the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 for supremacy in the large screen smartphone market. The device is rumored to be called the HTC T6, the HTC One was known as the HTC M7, and it has been given a rumored retail name of HTC One Max.

The HTC One Max is said to be a serious Galaxy Note 3 competitor.

The HTC One Max is said to be a serious Galaxy Note 3 competitor.

The device is shaping up to be a serious competitor to the Galaxy Note series, just like the HTC One is a series competitor to the new member of the Galaxy S series, the Samsung Galaxy S4.

Rumored specifications include a 5.9-inch 1080p display, 2.3GHz quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of on board storage space, an Ultrapixel camera, 3,300 mAh battery and Android Key Lime Pie which is expected to debut later this year, possibly as Android 5.0. It’s also said to include as stylus though it’s unclear just how HTC would support it. One of the more unique features of the Galaxy Note series is its stylus pen.

Thus far, we haven’t heard much in terms of U.S. carriers though today, a notorious HTC leakster has put forth two carriers that might be getting the HTC One Max when it arrives.

In response to inquiries from prospective customers, the well-connected @LLabTooFeR suggests that the HTC T6 will be coming to Sprint and Verizon. Both are carriers of the HTC One though Verizon, despite announcing the device, has yet to release it.

No timing for the device is mentioned but if it indeed has Android 5.0 KLM on board, it’s likely not coming until much later this year. The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is expected to touch down sometime in September, likely early September at IFA, which means that HTC could introduce its own phablet sometime around then.

If the HTC One Max is the real deal, and at this point it appears to be, HTC looks like it will be putting forth a serious competitor not only for the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 but for the new Sony Xperia Z Ultra that launched with a massive display and stylus yesterday.

This is the guy who confirmed with Verizon sources that they were getting a galaxy s4 with 32GB.
Stop popping up in my Google searches with your unverified crap. This isn’t a legitimate android or mobile device news source.

LlabTooFeR is one of the most credible rumor sources I’ve ever heard from. Every time I read a rumor article I expect to see either Evleaks or LlabTooFeR as the source. I trust this source tremendously, and carriers often change plans mere days before they go into action. The leak explains what is planned as of today. Things can always change as a moment’s notice.

OR! Most of the people commenting don’t know how to use proper grammar (as is evident all over the net). In everything I do I make sure to capitalize my name.. If not it makes you look like a lazy/uneducated/slob.

Holy crap, if I knew I could regurgitate the same cramp over and over, I would have re thought my career options. See, where I work, they expect me to know what I’m talking about. Smh…. It’s pretty bad that I know more about the Verizon HTC One launch than you do.

I hope it’s real and has a micro SD slot. Otherwise it’s Note 3 for me.
