Did Samsung Just Confirm the Galaxy Note 3? Adam Mills07/09/2013 The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is one of the most heavily rumored smartphones of the year and it appears that Samsung may have confirmed the device early through a UAProf posted to its website that showcases the model numbers SM-N900A and SM-N900T, both thought to be variants of the upcoming Galaxy Note 2 successor. For months, Samsung Galaxy Note 3 rumors have waged on leaving hopeful consumers with a trail of possible features and quite a bit of mystery. While the Galaxy Note 3 was thought to have a 5.7-inch 1080p display, quad-core processor of the Exynos 5 Octa or Snapdragon 800 variety, 13MP camera and a design that mirrored the Galaxy S4, things got flipped upside down yesterday by rumors of four different variants, sporting different casings, display types, and cameras.Advertisement Read: Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Rumors Take Odd Turn. Whether that news is simply a planted rumor by Samsung to keep things interesting or something completely real remains to be seen as Samsung likely won’t announce the Galaxy Note 3 until September, sometime around the IFA 2013 trade show in Berlin, Germany. That, however, hasn’t stopped the company from confirming the device early, or so it seems.Advertisement The model number SM-N900 is thought to be for the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and today, that model number has shown up on Samsung’s own website today in the form of a User String Agent. In fact, two model numbers have been dug up by Japanese site RBMen including SM-N900A and SM-N900T which the site believes is the AT&T Galaxy Note 3 and an Australian variant.Advertisement Previously, the AT&T Galaxy Note 2 checked in with model number SGH-i317 so this would be a drastic change from that. We do know that Samsung devices typically have a variety of model numbers depending on the region so it’s entirely possible that this name does in fact correspond to the American version of this device. And given that Samsung is thought to be producing cheap and premier versions of the Galaxy Note 3, it could have something to do with that as well. What we do know is that rumors have pegged the SM-N900 as the Galaxy Note 3 and the model number have shown up on Samsung’s website which seems to point to an early confirmation ahead of IFA. Those waiting for a true confirmation though will likely have to wait until early September for a Samsung Unpacked event.
