Rumors suggest that the iPhone 5S will be the star of the event. Apple is also rumored to be announcing an iPhone 5C, a cheaper version of the iPhone that is rumored to be coming with a plastic back, several color options, 8MP camera, 4-inch Retina display and a cheap price tag. It’s not clear if it will replace the iPhone 5 and iPhone 4S as the company’s budget offerings or if it will simply head to expanding markets like China to compete with cheap Android devices.

Apple’s launch event will be taking place about a week after Samsung announces its new flagship, the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, which is set for a debut on September 4th.
