iPhone 5C Video & Specs Leak

Apple is expected to deliver two iPhones later this year with the iPhone 5S and the iPhone 5C both said to be on the docket. Both devices have leaked out extensively in recent weeks but its two new leaks that offer the most extensive and detailed looks at Apple’s rumored iPhone 5C.

The iPhone 5C is rumored to be Apple’s long rumored cheap plastic iPhone model, a device that reportedly will be aimed at emerging markets and the cheap Android smartphones that have flooded them. The device is expected to join the iPhone 5S on stage in the coming weeks with September 10th pegged as the iPhone 5C and iPhone 5S launch date.

It is there that Apple is expected to detail the iPhone 5C in full. However, thanks to leaks, it appears that Apple’s secret may be out of the bag as the iPhone 5C has seen not one, but two extensive leaks emerge.

The first is an extensive iPhone 5C hands-on video from iCrackUriDevice which shows the iPhone 5C shells up close. We see a number of different color options, something that lines up with rumors that have suggested that Apple will offer an assortment of shades, and we once again see the device’s plastic design.

In addition to the iPhone 5C video, a new leak from SimOnlyRadar claims to show off the iPhone 5C’s full specification list for the first time, detailing iPhone 5C dimensions, software features and more.

The specification sheet displays several iPhone 5C features that we’ve heard about in the past including a 4-inch Retina Display, iOS 7, and a dual-core processor. It also claims that the device will have an 8MP camera sensor, possibly on par with the iPhone 5, and a 2.1 MP front-facing camera as well.

It will supposedly have 1GB of RAM and come in three storage options, 16GB, 32GB and 64GB. It also claims that Siri will indeed be on board, despite rumors that suggested that the personal assistant would not arrive with the plastic iPhone.

Dimensions for the iPhone 5C are said to be 124.2 x 58.4 x 7.6 mm, a bit thicker than the 7.1mm iPhone 5, and it’s expected to weigh 106 grams, lighter than the iPhone 5’s 112 gram frame.

These aren’t confirmed but if they’re real, they will likely be confirmed in early September as Apple is heavily rumored to be introducing its new iPhones on September 10th.

Both the iPhone 5S and the iPhone 5C are rumored for arrival in September with a release date pegged for September 20th. The iPhone 5S will replace the iPhone 5 as Apple’s flagship smartphone while the iPhone 5C is rumored to be replacing either the iPhone 5 or iPhone 4S and iPhone 4. Pricing rumors place it around $400 off-contract but that, like its features, remain unconfirmed.
