HTC One Android 4.3 Update Still On Track for September
In August, HTC claimed that the HTC One Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update would roll out in the United States, in September, in place of the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean update. And while we haven’t seen any signs of the update, HTC President Jason Mackenzie says that the company is still planning to get the updates out this month.
Back in July, HTC rolled out Android 4.2 Jelly Bean for the HTC One. Since then, the update, which carried some Sense 5 enhancements as well, has spread to carriers around the world. The update still hasn’t rolled out for the AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile HTC One models but we know that there is good reason for that.

In August, HTC confirmed plans for an HTC One Android 4.3 update in place of Android 4.2 Jelly Bean in the United States and that it planned to issue the software across devices by the end of September. And while we haven’t heard anything for a few weeks now, it appears that the plan is still intact and that HTC is still looking to get the software updates out this month.
@DatBoiJermy plan is end/sept

HTC’s Jason Mackenzie confirmed this to be the case on Twitter stating that the company still plans to get Android 4.3 to its HTC One owners in the United States before the end of September. Mackenzie issued this timing in response to numerous questions including one specifically about the AT&T HTC One update and one asking if carrier testing would delay it.
@ScreamingPoetry good news is that with Sense you are always ahead of the times. no change to announce on 4.3 schedule. thanks

He claims that there have been no changes to its plans and that the update is on track for a roll out later this month. Of course, exactly when it plans to release the software is unknown as Mackenzie, the carriers and HTC remain silent about specific details.
@DavidCipollone yes. still the plan

Still, the fact that nothing has changed since August 19th is a sign that things are progressing and that HTC One owners can still be on the lookout for Android 4.3 and not Android 4.2 in September.
The updates are expected to bring the features of Android 4.3 as well as enhancements to the HTC One’s user interface, the new Sense 5. We should also see some slight differences between the updates thanks to carriers adding their own touches to the software.

When will Verizon have HTC One 4.3. Will the same device be upgradable, or does one need to pirchase a new phone?

HTC will come up with something different by the end of September like they always do.
