The U.S. Cellular Galaxy Note 3 release date is set for October, but the carrier is keeping the price and any pre-order plans to itself for the time being.

U.S. Cellular announced the Galaxy Note 3 news this morning after AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon confirmed the Galaxy Note 3 was coming in early October and several of the carriers started pre-orders.

U.S. Cellular is a smaller regional carrier, but is carving out a place for itself alongside AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile with a growing 4G LTE network and fast access to flagship phones like the Galaxy S4 and Galaxy Note 3. We also expect a U.S. Cellular iPhone 5S later this month. Normally smaller regional carriers only get variants of popular devices long after a first release, but U.S. cellular is bucking that trend.

U.S. Cellular will carry the black Galaxy Note 3, with no word on the white or pink Galaxy Note 3 options. There is no confirmation of which storage capacities the carrier will offer, but it would be surprising to see the 64GB Galaxy Note 3 arrive on U.S. Cellular at launch.

The U.S. Cellular Galaxy Note 3 will come with 4G LTE, and the carrier currently covers 60% of its subscribers with LTE and plans to expand to 90% by the end of the year.

U.S. Cellular does not share the Galaxy Note 3 price consumers will see when the Note 3 goes on sale, but users can expect a $299 price tag. The smaller carrier normally prices phones in line with the top three carriers, but is known for offering switcher bonuses, which currently cut $75 off the price of the Moto X. We could see a similar offer for the Galaxy Note 3.
