I currently have iOS 7 beta 6 and I was wondering if u switch to the GM would I be able to receive ota updates for future updates for iOS 7 to the public? I was gonna downgrade to 6.1.4 so o update with the general users on sept 18.

If you do a restore to install GM you will also have to do a restore to install the public version. There are no more OTA updates for the beta. Keep in mind if you downgrade to 6.1 you will not be able to restore your backup because your backup in iOS 7 format. I am sure you know that as a developer running the beta :) If you don’t want to jump through hoops just wait until public release and restore.

Since I have iOS 7 beta 6, if I upgrade to iOS 7 GM or keep beta 6, how will I get the public version when it’s released? Just want to make sure I don’t have any trouble when the public version is released. I didn’t know if it was necessary to downgrade to 6.1.4 or not prior to public release.

the GM is the gold master and is an exact copy of the public model coming on the 18th if you update to the GM now its the same thing youll get on the 18th just a week later.

Hi, I have ios 7 GM on my iphone 5 but Im not a developer, so, will i still get the OTA update of the official ios 7 when its out? and also, doest ios 7 GM have an expiry date?

Does anyone foresee the following process becoming problematic?
Option 1: Full backup (beta 6) – Restore (from beta 6 ‘backup’) to public ios 7 release via iTunes.
    Or
Option 2: First restore to the GM (iTunes), then restore again to the public release?
I’m not trying to save time, but potintely would like to save my data/info and avoid problems altogether during the restoring process.
