Nexus 5 Render Offers Realistic Look at Leak

Published

A new Nexus 5 render offers a realistic look at the device that leaked out on video just a short days ago, a device that may or may not be the new, upcoming Nexus smartphone from Google.

While much of the attention in the past few weeks has been on the iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C, there is another big name smartphone lurking just over the horizon in the form of the Nexus 5. Google annually releases a Nexus smartphone with new software on board and rumors suggest that the Nexus 4 successor could be a Nexus 5 from LG or Motorola.

Those rumors started to heat up even more after a Android 4.4 KitKat video appeared to depict a new Nexus smartphone, one that took design cues from the Nexus 7. And then, we saw an FCC filing for an LG device get pegged as a possible Nexus 5, only to get shot down by the reliable evleaks who claims that the FCC filing is, in fact, for the CDMA version of the LG G2.

Of course, as we’ve pointed out, there are still some holes in the Nexus 5 story and the device that appeared on video hasn’t been ruled out as the Nexus 5. And fortunately, thanks to some renders, we’ve been able to get an up close look at what might just be the new Nexus or one of the new Nexi.

We’ve seen several Nexus 5 renders based on the leak from the video but today’s from PocketNow might give us the most realistic look yet at the device that was seen on camera.

Again, we see the Nexus 7 style design with the large Nexus logo, the massive camera sensor in the corner, and we even have an LG logo in the bottom, something that may or may not have been on the device in question. So while this device remains a mystery, this render does give prospective Nexus 5 owners another look at what could potentially be Google’s answer to the iPhone 5C and beyond.

Rumors suggest that the device could be making its debut in late October, which if true, would mean that it would follow in the footsteps of the Nexus 4 which also launched in October.

The device is likely to usher in Google’s Android 4.4 KitKat era which began just a few short days ago when Google announced the software that will be coming to replace Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.

Google did not detail the contents of the Android 4.4 KitKat update and we don’t expect to hear about it in detail until the Nexus 5 announcement.

I totally expect the Nexus 5 to be the next powerhouse but economy-priced Android smartphone — the best option for connecting with the best unlimited cellphone plan on the market! https://www.GetServiceFree.com

And he’s not a “rep” – he’s just a user of the the service trying to get his monthly bill paid for by getting others to sign up… the whole point of that service. Share, Get your Bill paid for if others sign up.

Really, why the fk would someone register a domain and create a forum around a device that has yet to launch or even be announced… that’s just stupid. And certainly would not take part in a ‘forum’ full of idiots.

Bottom line there is no “hard” news/info on the nexus 5, so just wait until Google announces it – if they even do.

Watch it be the MotoX with a very limited (black or white) color choices with a few minor changes so Google doesn’t have to start manufacturing a completely different device.

EVLEAKS is an idiot and this proves it. What he drunk tweeted is directly contradicted by FCC testing documents.

And YOUR credibitly as writer is blemished by even giving his name space.

I’d rather all the buttons to be on the right hand side like the Nexus 7 FHD.
