New MacBook Pro 2013 Release Rumored, Buyers Take Note

The new MacBook Pro 2013 model release date is rumored for October according to a new source which cites component makers readying for a MacBook Pro refresh from Apple which will help these companies increase sales.

The news comes one day after Apple announced new iMacs with features we expect on a new MacBook Pro such as processor options that could deliver all-day battery life, like the new MacBook Air, faster storage, updated graphics and more.

Apple is reportedly holding an event in October where we could see the new MacBook Pro and new MacBook Pro with Retina models introduced on stage alongside OS X Mavericks.

The iMac release this week is a good sign that Apple could be nearing completion of OS X Mavericks and the new MacBook Pro models, as it is possible that Apple will announce the OS X Mavericks release date within the next 30 days which would likely mean new iMac buyers will get a free OS X Mavericks upgrade.

Apple’s OS X Up to Date program is not live, directing to an OS X 10.8 landing page, but we could see it come online in the near future.

A New MacBook Pro 2013 update is likely just around the corner.

A New MacBook Pro 2013 update is likely just around the corner.

According to United Daily News as spotted by Macotakara, the Apple supply chain is ready to deliver the parts needed for new MacBook pro models in October. The report says suppliers expect a facelift for the new MacBook Pro 2013 models, but it’s not clear if that is a spec bump only or a new design.

Some early rumors suggest Apple is planning to deliver a thinner 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina Display. This comes from KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who predicted much of the iPhone 5s specifications and features ahead of the release thanks to connections in the supply chain. Kuo’s record isn’t perfect, but it is one of the best available. In the same note Kuo claims the new MacBook Pro with Retina Display will come with a full HD webcam built-in.

The report also discusses the rumored 12-inch iPad, which suppliers are reportedly working with Apple to bring to life. The 12-inch iPad is reportedly in the works to be developed by the same company who makes the MacBook Pro and iMac line. It’s not clear if this is simply to avoid cutting into the production of the current iPad lines or if it is a hint at something bigger for this large iPad.

If Apple announces the new notebooks at an October event expect to see a new MacBook Pro release date soon after, possibly with OS X Mavericks on board.

Clearly you have never tried to use a 17″ Macbook Pro in a coach airline seat…and rudeness does not make you appear more knowledgeable…

I hope it comes soon. It should be a crime for apple to be selling their macbook pros at their prices considering their ancient hardware. Apple is really indulging in selling two year old laptops as new.
