AT&T Galaxy Note 3 Release Date In Stores Timed to Pre-Orders

The AT&T Galaxy Note 3 release date for stores is October 4th according to a tweet sent this morning by AT&T.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 release date in the U.S. officially starts on October 1st, when AT&T claims pre-orders will ship, but it will take a few more days before users can walk into a local AT&T store to pick one up.

In a short message this morning the carrier confirmed the AT&T Galaxy Note 3 and the Galaxy Gear will be officially available on October 4th.

Online both of the devices show a ship date of October 1st still, which points to this messages date as one for in-store pickup, which could time up with the delivery of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 to those who pre-ordered.

AT&T started Samsung Galaxy Note 3 pre-orders in early September, but even users who ordered within the first 24 hours may see a delay of one day in shipping the Galaxy Note 3.

The white Samsung Galaxy Note 3 lists a shipping date of October 1 or October 2nd in order status, even though AT&T’s ordering page shows an October 1st pre-order.

AT&T sells the Galaxy Gear in white or black for $299, leaving the brighter colors off the table. There is no way to change the watch band later, so users who want a color option should check out a site like Negri Electronics, which sells all the Galaxy Gear colors, including the orange Galaxy Gear which we bought.

Currently the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is the only device that works with the Galaxy Gear smartwatch, so it makes sense for a timed launch. AT&T sells the Galaxy Gear separate of the Note 3, while Verizon only sells them as a bundle. Shoppers who buy a Galaxy Note 3 on Verizon or any other carrier can purchase the Galaxy Gear from any store, as the smart watch is not tied to a carrier.
