iPhone Comparison Shows How Far Apple Has Come Since 2007

The iPhone 5s is the fastest iPhone yet, with its new A7 processor and 64-bit capabilities, and while Apple is touting that the A7 chip is twice as fast the previous generation, real-world circumstances are quite a bit different. Case in point, comparing the iPhone 5s and iPhone 5 side-by-side doesn’t yield a huge difference in performance between the two when doing basic tasks. However, someone decided to take it to the next level.

EverythingApplePro decided to do a side-by-side comparison of all the iPhones ever made at once, starting with the original iPhone that launched in 2007 and ending with the latest iPhone 5s. All eight iPhones in the video have fresh versions of iOS installed, and are all running the latest compatible version of iOS.

The video goes through several tests that see how fast each iPhone completes certain tasks, such as shutting down, booting up, loading web pages, etc. You might think the iPhone 5s wins every single challenge in the video, but you’d be quite wrong. In fact, the older iPhone generations win at certain tasks. Just take a look:

The boot-up test was probably the most surprising. The newer models obviously were the frontrunners, but the original iPhone actually beat the iPhone 4 by a couple of seconds, and the iPhone 3G came in last as far as boot-up time.

As for the web browser loading test, this is where you can see a huge difference in how far Apple has come in improving web browsing speeds; the iPhone 5s was almost instantaneous at loading websites, while each previous generation was slower and slower at loading websites.

The takeaway from this video is that, yes, processing power keeps getting better with each new iPhone, but the leap gets narrower and narrower as newer iPhones come out. Earlier iPhones saw huge leaps in performance from the one generation to the next, but the jump from the iPhone 5 to the iPhone 5s is pretty negligent, which means that if you have an iPhone 5, it’s probably not worth upgrading to the iPhone 5s if you’re just in it for the specs. Apple has been all about features, so if you’re really wanting the fingerprint sensor and the camera improvements, we’re certainly not stopping you from upgrading.

Apple iPhone is still the most popular or most dominant Smartphone in the world. Apple has released something outstanding: introducing a bigger, more powerful and regularly improved, without modifying the way it feels in user hand. thus people always wait to get latest iphone after release by apple
