Verizon HTC One Max Photos Leak Out

Published

on

This isn’t the first time we’re seeing the HTC One Max splayed out for the camera, but it’s the first time that we’re seeing the device with carrier branding on it. An anonymous Verizon employee has sent out photos of what is claimed to be the HTC One Max, with Verizon branding toward the bottom of the device.

While the HTC One took awhile to hit Verizon, it seems like the larger brother will be available on Big Red right off the bat. The Verizon employee who took the photos also says that the oversized smartphone has a fingerprint scanner and a removable back cover to get to the battery and other goodies. It’s been rumored that the HTC One Max would have a fingerprint sensor, and we keep hearing more confirmations that it indeed does have one.

As you can see from the photos, the HTC One Max is quite a huge piece of smartphone, and it looks to take on the recently-launched Samsung Galaxy Note 3, both of which sport 6-inch displays and are new additions to the phablet-style smartphone market, with the HTC One Max coming out soon, hopefully.

In the two photos shown, the HTC One Max is seen sitting next to an iPhone 5, which sports a 4-inch display. Obviously, the One Max is much larger, and we can only imagine how it’ll feel when users are holding it. The second photo shows the device in the hands of the anonymous Verizon employee, giving you a good size comparison of just how big this thing is.

one-max_verizon2The HTC One Max is said to come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, a full 1080p HD display, and a 4-megapixel camera with UltraPixel technology. It’s rumored that we should see the One Max get announced later this month and will hopefully release shortly thereafter.

We saw photos of the alleged HTC One Max sitting next to a Galaxy Note 3 last month, which provided a good size comparison between the two phablets. Will it be a showdown between HTC and Samsung to see who wins the phablet market this holiday season? We’ll have to wait and find out, but Samsung already has a pretty strong hold, since this is their third Galaxy Note device already.
