Sit Stand iMac Desk Doesn’t Need a VESA Adapter

Ergotron’s new WorkFit A Sit-Stand Workstation is a sit stand desk designed for Apple users who want a better way to work while using an iMac.

This arm attaches to an existing desk and allows more range of motion so that users can work while sitting or standing, for better posture and better overall health. Unlike most other mounts, the Ergotron WorkFit A uses a lock in design that allows a user to place the iMac stand inside the included work surface so there is no need to spend money on a VESA adapter.

This type of sit stand desk connects to the desk you already have but retains a small workspace for use while standing. After using multiple sit-stand desks over the past four years this is an essential component of a good sit stand desk because it allows users to keep coffee or a notepad within reach.

Once assembled, users secure the iMac in the workstation component and can begin to move the desk to the level that fits them for sitting or standing. The WorkFit A offers 18.8-inches of lift from sitting to standing. One thing users must take into account is that this type of desk will push the user farther away from the actual desk, but the included keyboard mount makes this less of an issue and possibly a better fit than before.

The Ergotron WorkFit A is made of aluminum to match the design of the Apple iMac and can handle up to a 27-inch iMac. The desk works with the 2012 and newer iMac models in 21.5-inch and 27-inch versions as well as the 2009-2012 21.5-inch iMac models.

The sit stand iMac desk supports up to 25 pounds and connects to desks as thick as 2.5-inches thick and 31.5-inches deep.
