Verizon Galaxy Note 3 Starts Shipping

Published

on

The Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note 3 has begun shipping ahead of its October 10th ship by date and it appears that the device will land on doorsteps in the near future as it joins the AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile Galaxy Note 3 variants in the wild.

In early September, Verizon announced that it would be releasing the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 alongside AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, and U.S. Cellular. Surprisingly, the carrier was the first to announce a pre-order for the device, a pre-order that started just a few days after the device’s September 4th announcement in Berlin, Germany.

Since then Verizon has been taking pre-orders for the Galaxy Note 3 with a ship by date of October 10th. That date has not changed since the carrier began taking pre-orders in early September and that gave us reason to believe that the carrier would keep its promise and get the device out to buyers before the middle of October.

Turns out, the company kept its promise as Verizon Galaxy Note 3 orders have started to ship to those that ordered well ahead of time. Given the two day shipping times attached to the orders, buyers should expect their device to land either tomorrow or on October 10th itself. AT&T did the same thing with its pre-orders and gave those who pre-ordered a bit of a head start on those that waited.

The Verizon Galaxy Note 3 joins an arsenal of devices on Verizon’s network including the iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c, and the HTC One which arrived back in August, months after its rivals. It will replace the Galaxy Note 2 as the carrier’s flagship big screen smartphone though rumors suggest that it will soon be joined by the HTC One Max, a device that is expected to touch down in the next few weeks.

This means that U.S. Cellular is officially the last announced U.S. carrier to the device though the company told Gotta Be Mobile that a launch is still on track for sometime in October.

Samsung’s Galaxy Note 3 comes with a new 5.7-inch 1080p display, a high-powered Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, 13MP camera, Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, improved S Pen features and enhanced multitasking.

I’ve used all the major Carriers except US Cellular. Been with Version for several years now. Higher priced than all the rest and with less perks. However I’ve never had a dropped call, always had good customer service, and according to FedEx, I will have my Note 3 tomorrow. (ahead of schedule) Old’ saying……..You get what you pay for. 5 “Stars” !
