Just like taking away the Start button, Microsoft’s metro-style applications limited the ways users could multitask with multiple applications. For example, Windows 8 only allowed users to open an app once. This meant that users couldn’t edit watch internet video in one window while writing an email in another window. Thankfully, the company has finally gotten around to fixing the issue.

    Never noticed this cause I avoid IE like the plauge but WTF MSFT, Windows 3.1 let you open more than 1 browser at a time!

    If what you want is to open a second browser window, once you have an internet window open, just do a search and then click to open the new link.
