Xbox One Day One Pre-Orders Available at Best Buy

Published

on

Just a week after Xbox One Day One pre-orders reopened at GameStop, BestBuy users can once again pre-order the console ahead of its November 22nd début.

It’s the Day One Xbox that will go out to users beginning November 22nd. It includes a special Day One achievement and a controller with the “Day One” etched into its center. Just like with the consoles brief return to GameStop’s website, users looking to pre-order the Xbox One should act now.

Best Buy is all confirming that it has “limited quantities” of the console available. Once they’re gone, there’s no telling when they might return.

In addition to offering the Xbox One Day One addition, users can pre-order the Xbox One Day One Call of Duty Bundle as well. In addition to shipping with the Kinect sensor and Xbox One console itself, this bundle also includes an extra wireless controller, one year of Xbox LIVE and a copy of Call of Duty: Ghosts. Unfortunately, that bundle doesn’t come cheap. It costs $679.96, a lot more than the $499.99 cost of the Day One and Standard Edition consoles.

Microsoft plans to have consoles available for users who did not pre-order on the Xbox One release date, but expects a fast sellout this holiday season.

The Xbox One.

Every Xbox One includes a Kinect sensor, a power cable, one wireless controller, a chat headset and an HDMI cable. While pre-orders at other Xbox One retailers have come and gone, users might be able to get their hands on the console on release date without a pre-order. According to Microsoft, many retailers will have Xbox One units in-store.

In no way should users wait until launch day to try to pick up an Xbox One. Microsoft hasn’t detailed exactly how many Xbox Ones will be available for purchase on launch day without a pre-order. It’s also blatantly encouraging users to pre-order now, or shop early since it expects to sell every unit it delivers to retail stores during the holiday season.

As the Xbox One’s launch date is one week before the holiday season officially kicks off, it’s completely possible that the console will sell out this holiday season.

Users who pre-order from Best Buy will have their debit cards immediately charged for the full cost of their device. The company will then free up those funds within 5-7 until the console actually ships.

Best Buy hasn’t re-opened pre-orders for Sony’s PlayStation 4. It’s scheduled to launch on November 15th for $399.

Thanks so much for posting this, I have been interested in getting this now that more information is available about it. It should be noted that this is only available for store pick-up. Which isn’t too bad given that a store opened close to my place not too long ago. Which I guess is a bit worrisome given that I heard they sold preordered 360s to people (that hadn’t preordered) who showed up at the midnight launch. Which I can’t do, because I have to get up early in the morning for work. Hopefully it all works out.

You should also be aware that your order can be flagged and canceled for no good reason two minutes after you receive confirmation. Mine was canceled and I called with them saying it would take two weeks to review the order before it can be placed online. Though apparently I could go in-store and do it just fine….we’ll see.
