iPhone 5s Deal Cuts Price to $99 Best Buy + Galaxy Note 3 Deal

Published

on

This new iPhone 5s deal is perhaps the best we’ll see for a long time and it’s not alone with a $100 off Galaxy Note 3 deal as well as LG G2, Moto X, and Galaxy S4 deals that cut the prices on pretty much any smartphone Best Buy sells.

The catch is that these offers are only available to users who sign a new contract, so users will need to switch carriers or add a new line to get the deal. If you want to upgrade your current line Best Buy will charge the standard price for these phones.

Unlike previous offers, there is no need to trade in an old phone to score $100 off the iPhone 5s, which makes this an incredible offer. Users can still sell their current iPhone to a service like Gazelle or NextWorth and earn enough cash to cover the upgrade with money left over for a great iPhone 5s case and credit to buy a new charger or iOS 7 apps.

This iPhone 5s deal is only valid on AT&T, Verizon and Sprint, as T-Mobile is no longer offering contracts on service which are where Best Buy makes money from deals like this. The iPhone 5s deal at Best Buy does require a two-year contract, which is to be expected from any deep discount on a new phone.

Users can pick up the 16GB iPhone 5s for $99 or upgrade to the 32GB iPhone 5s for $199 and the 64GB for $299. All thing considered this deal cuts $100 off the price of a month old iPhone without the need to trade in an old phone or jump through hoops. It is the fastest discount we’ve seen on a new iPhone flagship model, and underlines the reason to buy the iPhone 5s instead of the iPhone 5c, which is now free with this deal, but still not a better deal for the user.

The hardest part about getting this iPhone 5s deal at Best Buy is finding an iPhone 5s in stock to purchase. Best Buy offers many of these smartphone deals online, but not the iPhone. Shoppers can use the Best Buy website or app to locate one in stock at a local Best Buy. The closest Best Buy location with an iPhone 5s in stock is 45 minutes away, but that is a small price to pay for saving $100. Users cannot reserve the iPhone 5s online, so it is worth calling to see if the store will set one aside for you.

The deals also extend to the best Android smartphones on the market, including the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, Moto X, Galaxy S4, LG G2 and many others. Most of these deals are available online. Here’s a rundown of the incredible Android deals Best Buy is offering.

  • Galaxy Note 3 – $199
  • LG G2 – $99
  • Galaxy S4 -$99
  • Moto X – $99

It would be better if these deals applied to current subscribers, but coverage between AT&T and Verizon is close enough that it is finally worth comparing the carriers before signing a new two year contract.

I await their offering of this deal to those of us merely upgrading. Until then, no sale. Perhaps Walmart will force their hand this christmas season like last year.

This is so stupid!! I can’t get this deal as a current customer with an eligible upgrade???? I’d be signing another 2 year contract!!! Way to reward your current clients!!!!!

I went yesterday as well and they jut looked at me like I was crazy. Suggested that I open up a best buy credit card and make payments. I refuse to pay $299! I want the same deal as new customers!!! Amazon has the same offer (not for us that are due for an upgrade) for $199.

Went in Sun, guy told me it was Fri and Sat only, and proceeded to try to sell me a Samsung the size of a license plate.

@Matt… funny… but true.. and I love my new License Plate!!!!

so my wife went from a 16gb iphone 4s to a 32gb iphone 5s (this was the last iphone i the store that day which was this past saturday or we would have gotten the 64gb version..)

but $175 trade in for iphone 4s plus BestBuy price match on sprints website for $199 = $25 for a 32gb iphone 4s…

above you say $199 for Galaxy Note 3.. well I got BB to price match sprint and my new Note 3 cost me $249.99

my cell upgrades dont happen often… I went from nextel 2 way to lg fusic then to my first smartphone. Sprint PPC6800 or something like that. windows mobile 6.1 and loved it. Even got a custom rom from xda developers and loved it even better… and 2 phones cell plan for $65…

now I went to a Samsung galaxy S2 and my wife went iphone 4s and our bill went from $56 to $181 (added son with non smart phone).. that is ridiculous… then off to the Note 3 this weekend…

after getting the note 3 I will NEVER own a different phone.. I will buy a Note ANYTIME a new one comes out!!!!!!!!!!

now to upgrade phones is a little bicker point.. what needs to be done is something about these cell bills…. cmon.. im now at $200 by adding iphone 5s insurance to my sprint acct….but I know people paying $200-$475 a month for their cell bills!!!!!!!!!!

so to each is their own on the hardware. My wife loves her apple stuff but I got our oldest to really see the light and starting to like Android….

I thought of going with an apple product but then i just keep remembering…

    wifes iphone:
    **** Small screen
    **** Cant replace battery
**** Cant add memory – prevented her from going ios7 as she was out of space on 16gb

    my androids:
**** ability to have spare batteries or extended batteries
**** added a 64gb micro sd class 10 at best buy when i got my note 3 (memory from ebay for $15!!!!!)
**** a screen my eyes can see as my eyes are going bad….

    ok enough from me…
