Lumia 2520 Tablet, Lumia 1520 Smartphone Join Xbox One Launch on Nov 22

Black Friday for Microsoft and Nokia fans may be coming a week early this year. According to a post on Windows Phone Central, Microsoft, Verizon, and AT&T will be rolling out a Santa’s bag of expected new products for the holiday shopping season on November 22, including the new XBox One, the Nokia Lumia 2520 Tablet, and the Nokia Lumia 1520 smartphone. We’ve know that the Xbox One was headed for that date, but it looks like the two new Nokia Lumia products now have a date for sale. So, US Windows RT Tablet fans (there are a few of those around) will have something to look forward to the week before they stuff themselves with turkey.

The Nokia Lumia 2520 Tablet is a Windows RT based Tablet and was announced several weeks ago and looks to be a rival to Microsoft’s own Surface 2 Tablet, also running Windows 8.1 RT. Given Microsoft’s impending purchase of Nokia, scheduled to be completed after the first of the year, it will be interesting to see how the Lumia 2520 sells next to the Surface 2 in Microsoft Stores.

The Nokia Lumia 2520 will be running on a Qualcomm 2.2GHz Snapdragon 800 chipset with LTE built in. The rear camera will deliver 6.7 megapixels through a 1.9 aperture, and the front camera will be 2 megapixels. Carl Zeiss optics are featured as is the case with most of Nokia’s devices. Note there is no WiFi only option scheduled to be released for the 2520. When announced the Nokia Lumia 2520 also came swathed in Cyan or White, but it looks like those colors won’t be available at AT&T or Verizon on launch day.
