Verizon LG G2 in White Coming Soon

Published

on

The new LG G2 hit Verizon Wireless shelves back in early September, and since has been rather popular considering the power inside, that 5.2-inch 1080p display, and of course the unique rear-button design. Other carriers have a similar device with a slightly different button layout, and more colors, and Verizon is next.

The week the popular @evleaks shared some details and confirmed a white LG G2 was indeed headed to Verizon Wireless, although an exact date was not given. With Sprint and T-Mobile already having a white option available, it only makes sense to bring the same to Verizon. If the White Nexus 5 was something you had your eye on, only to find out it wasn’t supported on Verizon, the LG G2 is as close as you’ll get.

Shown above is the LG G2 covered in a pretty white coat of paint. With the same unique buttons that differ from other carriers, Verizon offers a few differences. For one, the LG G2 on Verizon has smaller buttons on back, which we actually found to be not as user friendly or as easy to hit as the regular layout.

There’s good news though. That change was because Verizon opted to be the exclusive carrier to offer a G2 with built-in wireless charging, which took additional space under the back battery cover, and as a result the buttons are smaller. The device also comes in with 32GB of storage, instead of 16GB as some other carriers are offering.

For those concerned, the LG G2 is set to get an update to Android 4.4 KitKat soon too, so that’s one more reason this is an excellent choice for those looking for an alternative to the Nexus 5 or Samsung’s Galaxy S4. As a reminder the G2 sports a 5.2-inch full 1080p HD IPS display, a quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor with 2GB of RAM, and an impressive 13 megapixel camera with OIS.

There’s no word on when Verizon will release the white variant, but it should be sooner rather than later.
