Best iPhone Deals for Last-Minute Christmas Shoppers

Christmas is just a few days away and there’s only so many days left that you can go shopping for gifts for your loved ones. However, if you’re like most Americans, you do a lot of your Christmas shopping at the last minute, but luckily there are plenty of deals to be had, especially if you’re looking for a new iPhone for that special person in your life.

Carriers and retail stores alike are discounting new iPhones, including the flagship iPhone 5s and the less-powerful, but more-colorful iPhone 5c. If you’re sick of looking around for the best iPhone deals, we’ve rounded up the most notable deals that we’ve found, which hopefully makes your search a little less stressful.

Verizon will take $100 off of the iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c at select locations for users that open a new line and switch their number from a competing carrier. The deal is not available at corporate Verizon locations, but rather at select Verizon Premium Retailers by asking for it, since it doesn’t seem that they’re regularly advertising it.

Walmart has the iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c discounted down to $127 and $27, respectively, after signing a new two-year contract on either AT&T or Verizon. The deal is a part of the retailer’s “12 Days of Christmas” sale, which ends on Christmas Day. You can also tack on a $30 iTunes gift cards for just $25, allowing you to save $5 instantly when you take advantage of the deal.

Sprint is still running its promotion that it started even before the new iPhones were launched, giving customers who switch to Sprint $100 off of the iPhone 5s or iPhone 5c. As with the Verizon deal, you’ll need to be a new customer and bring their phone number in from a competing carrier in order to take advantage of the deal.

T-Mobile is allowing customers to get a new iPhone 5s or iPhone 5c for $0 down when they sign up with the “Uncarrier.” You’ll have to opt for T-Mobile’s 24-month Simple Choice Plan in order to take advantage of the deal, which will require you to pay $27 per month for the iPhone 5s and $22.91 for the iPhone 5c. This means that you’re still paying $648 for the iPhone 5s after it’s all said and done, so you’re not saving any kind of cash with this deal, but a $0 down payment is enticing to a lot of folks.

Best Buy has the iPhone 5s starting at $125 and the iPhone 5c starting at $50, slashing off $75 off of the regular subsidized price of the iPhone 5s and $50 off of the iPhone 5c. The best part is, you don’t have to be a new customer or port your phone number over to a new carrier in order to take advantage of the deal.

Target as the 16GB version of the iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c for $50 off. This means you can get the iPhone 5s for $150 or the iPhone 5c for just $50 when you sign a new two-year contract with AT&T, Verizon or Sprint. Furthermore, you’ll get a $50 Target gift card when you buy an iPhone 5c, effectively cutting the price down to $0 after it’s all said and done.
