Today at CES 2014, case maker OtterBox announced a brand new product line with its new OtterBox Symmetry cases for the iPhone 5s, iPhone 5, iPhone 5c, and Samsung Galaxy S4, cases that the company says will offer both protection and style.
OtterBox is known its heavy duty cases which provide a great deal of protection to iPhone owners and Android users alike. The company usually announces something at CES in Las Vegas every year and it did not disappoint this time around at CES 2014.
The company has revealed its new OtterBox Symmetry lineup for the iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5, and the Samsung Galaxy S4 and its the Symmetry line that the company hopes will catch on with consumers who may have shied away from OtterBox and its cases due to their no-frills designs.
OtterBox’s Symmetry series blends protection with character. The design includes internal synthetic rubber with honeycomb coring that absorb shock and protect the device when dropped. The cases also feature a raised bezel which will help to protect the high-resolution displays on the iPhone and the Samsung Galaxy S4.
In addition to the protection, the OtterBox Symmetry series comes in an array of colors and graphics that will allow users to add style to their smartphone. Those who don’t need all the pizazz can still find the usual black-colored cases that OtterBox is known for. The cases will join an already vast array of options for iPhone and Galaxy S4 owners including the OtterBox iPhone 5s Commuter Wallet.
The company hasn’t committed to a specific release date just yet though it says that it will be releasing the cases sometime this spring. That means that the cases likely won’t be out until at least March.
OtterBox did acknowledged pricing for the new Symmetry series. Plain, solid colors will come with a $39.95 price point while the cases that utilize graphics will cost a little bit more and check in at $44.95.
