Refurbished Late-2013 MacBook Pro Now For Sale in Apple’s Online Store

Published

on

After initially releasing back in October, the new Retina-equipped MacBook Pros are now for sale in refurbished form in Apple’s Online Refurbished Store. You can get the new 15-inch MacBook Pro with a Haswell processor starting at $1,699 right now, which comes with a 2.0GHz quad-core processor, 8GB of RAM and a 256GB solid state drive. This would cost $1,999 brand new.

Other models that are available as refurbished include the 15-inch model with a 512GB SSD for $1,949 and one with a 2.3GHz quad-core processor with 16GB of RAM and a 512GB solid-state drive for $2,199. Unfortunately, there are no 13-inch refurbished models just yet, but we should see them pop up sometime in the near future.

$1,699 isn’t bad for the latest 15-inch MacBook Pro with Retina display, and considering that Apple has some of the best refurbished products around, you’re pretty much buying nearly brand new, since the company puts a new aluminum shell on the laptop, as well as gives it a brand-new battery for a fresh start.

However, if there’s one thing that you should know about refurbished Apple products is that the inventory is always changing, so if you see a MacBook Pro that you’re thinking about buying but want to sleep on it for a few days, it might be gone by the time you come back with your credit card.

With that said, the models that are available now in the refurbished store might not be the same models that you’ll see later this week or next, and we may even see 13-inch models finally show up, and we’re quite curious as to how much the entry-level model will cost. We’re guessing that a refurbished 13-inch MacBook Pro will be priced at around $1,100, which is 15% off (usually the average discount for Apple refurbished products).
