Looking for a cheap Surface Pro? Microsoft’s first-generation 2-in-1, that same 2-in-1 that includes the internals of a typical notebook computer, is now available for purchase at Best Buy for just $499.

The slashed price tag first surfaced on Best Buy’s website overnight. As of right now users can purchase a Surface Pro with 128GB of storage for just $499. What’s more that price includes free shipping. At that price Best Buy is actually selling its stock of Surface Pro’s for $100 less than Microsoft’s own online store is. It’s also worth noting that it’s roughly $230 less than what it would cost users to purchase a refurbished version at Best Buy.

That same Surface Pro with 128GB of storage would have cost users $899.99 when Microsoft released the Surface Pro roughly a year ago. Users have until Sunday to take advantage of the deal.

In case it wasn’t clear, this is an absolutely incredible deal for users looking to purchase a tablet or 2-in-1. The Surface Pro includes an Intel Core i5 processor, 4GB of RAM and a 10-inch high-definition display. The Surface Pro doesn’t include the Touch or Type Covers that Microsoft shows off with the Surface in its marketing materials, however. Users will need to purchase that separately.

A cheap Surface Pro isn’t just a good deal for those in the market for a productivity machine either. Each Surface Pro’s display comes equipped with a Wacom digitizer that can detect the included Surface Pen. Buyers can use that pen to draw, take handwritten notes or as a mouse replacement. They can also pair the cheap Surface Pro with an external monitor and Adobe Photoshop for digital sketching and design work.

Though the two look very similar, users shouldn’t confuse the Surface Pro with its Surface Pro 2 successor. At first glance they’re identical but the latest model does include some things that the original doesn’t. For starters, its screen has been tweaked for slightly better color reproduction. Microsoft also improved on the rear-facing camera, added a second kickstand position and boosted the tablet’s battery life. The original Surface Pro is rated for 5 hours of battery life. Surface Pro 2 users can expect roughly six or seven hours of battery life.

Surface Pro 2 pricing starts at $899 for a model with 64GB of storage. Best Buy’s cheap Surface Pro deal is available both online and in store.
