Earlier this week we learned a lot about the upcoming successor to the original HTC One. For starters it will be announced on March 25th, and now we even know the name.
According to the popular leakster @Evleaks the new HTC M8 smartphone will officially be called the “All New HTC One” or probably just the HTC One (2014) by most. While some HTC reps had a laugh from the tweet, most likely that will be the final name come March 25th. That isn’t all the leakster had either, as today he’s posted the first official press photo of the new HTC One.
What we’re seeing above is the first official press photo (if the leak is accurate) of the all new HTC One. This follows the latest leaked hardware and software pictures, and even sports the same March 25th date in the weather widget, which is something often added to press photos.
One thing the photo does confirm is the front and back won’t be aluminum with plastic in the middle. And instead the new HTC One aluminum unibody design wraps around the entire device. We’ve been told to expect the phone in Silver, Dark Grey, and Gold.

The bezels around the bigger 5-inch 1080p display are still present, including the large black area on bottom for the HTC logo, and we’re also seeing that dual camera setup on back. All the details and specs are basically confirmed at this point, and instead we’re just waiting for the unveiling come March 25th in London.
Latest rumors have the new HTC One 2014 edition hitting the streets in April, with the smartphone hitting all major US carriers potentially in three different colors. Android 4.4 KitKat is on board, and hopefully HTC has a few secrets still to show during the announcement, so stay tuned.
