iPhone 6 Concept Video Shows Small, Medium & Large iPhones

Consumers are already excited about the iPhone 6, which rumors suggest Apple is preparing for a release later this year with iOS 8 on board. The iPhone 6 rumor that won’t die is that Apple is planning a larger screen for the iPhone after sticking with a 4-inch display for two years.

iPhone 6 rumors focus on two new iPhones for 2014 with larger screens. The rumored iPhone 6 screen sizes vary, but a 4.7-inch model and a 5.5-inch model are the most rumored sizes.

It appears Apple is ready to offer the iPhone 6 in multiple sizes similar to the iPad Air and iPad mini. Rumors suggest we will see an iPhone 5s with a 4-inch display, an iPhone 6 with a 4.7-inch display and a larger iPhone 6 with a 5.5-inch display. This iPhone 6 concept builds on these rumors, to show three iPhone 6 devices, but goes a step further to offer a smaller iPhone Mini with a 3.5-inch display like the iPhone 4S, for users that don’t want a bigger screen, but want a new iPhone.

iPhone 6 Concept Video

The two-minute iPhone 6 concept video shows three possible iPhone 6 models, with names that don’t quite sound right for Apple devices, but the overall look of the new iPhone concept shows how a larger iPhone may look next to smaller iPhones.

The iPhone Air, or the slightly larger iPhone 6 in this concept offers a 4.7-inch display, and Apple A8 processor, larger battery and a thin 6.5mm design that borrows heavily from the iPad mini.

The iPhone Air Pro, which is the 5.5-inch iPhone 6 concept features the largest display and packs in better graphics, an Apple A8 processor and a larger battery thanks to more space.

Finally, the iPhone Air Mini is a 3.5-inch iPhone 6 model that offers a small device that iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S owners might admire the most. This uses an older Apple A7 processor.

This concept is nice, but the iOS 8 style used does not make use of the larger displays in a meaningful way. The larger iPhone would likely offer more room for app icons on the screen at once. The back of this concept appears solid, which would likely be an issue for the cellular radios.

While these names and specs are all just part of an iPhone 6 concept it is a nice look at how the rumored iPhone 6 sizes will compare to each other. Apple’s competitors routinely sell a small, medium and large model of flagship devices, though the success of the various sizes is not to the scale of the original models. Samsung offers the Samsung Galaxy S4, Galaxy S4 Mini and Galaxy Note 3. HTC sells the HTC One, HTC One mini and HTC One Max.

The trend is for a flagship with a 4.7-5-inch display as a main device packed with features, a smaller model with fewer features and a large screen model that includes something the smaller model does not offer like the S Pen on the Galaxy Note 3 or the fingerprint reader on the HTC One Max.

In this iPhone 6 concept, the largest device is simply a very large iPhone, but the real device may follow this trend to offer more than just a bigger screen to users. One rumor this week suggests Apple is looking at a different brand for the largest iPhone 6, but even if that happens don’t bet on a name like iPhone Air Pro.

    Sigh…I want a 6″ screen and would settle for a 5.7″.

But at 5.5″, I fear that Apple comes up “short” again.

Very sad, I guess the middle age demographic will be going to Samsung Note 2/3 or HTC MAX or Nokia Windows.
