How to Watch the Samsung Galaxy S5 Event Live

The Samsung Galaxy S5 event, UNPACKED 2014 Episode 1 starts later today in Barcelona, and Samsung is offering an UNPACKED 5 live stream for users that want to see the Galaxy S5 revealed.

Samsung will announce the Next Galaxy smartphone today, which based on all the evidence is the Galaxy S5. In the latest teaser, Samsung shows a silhouette of the Galaxy S4 with curves and a home button, teasing users one more time.

At the event we expect to see the Galaxy S5, hear about the Galaxy S5 specs and features and learn when the first Galaxy S5 release date is planned.

Samsung offers a Galaxy S5 live stream on YouTube so users can watch the event as it unfolds. The Galaxy S5 YouTube stream works on Mac, Windows, iPhone, Android and any device that can play YouTube videos. We expect the Galaxy S5 event will last about an hour and may start a little late.

The Samsung Galaxy S5 live stream starts at 2PM Eastern, 11AM Pacific in the U.S. Clicking play on the Galaxy S5 stream above will show a countdown. It is a good idea to get the stream started ahead of the event, as extreme loads can cause hiccups in playback.

The Samsung Galaxy S5 is expected to arrive with a 5.25-inch display that may offer a 2560 x 1440 resolution on one model, but the U.S. may only receive a Galaxy S5 with a 1080P display. We expect to see a better processor, new 16MP camera and a new flash. Samsung is also expected to include a fingerprint reader on the home button. A leak shows what could be the back of the Galaxy S5 and an opening for an IR port.
