I’ve tried that Azumio stuff on my Galaxy Nexus. It’s horribly inaccurate measuring heart rate compared to a Garmin strap. I can tolerate a slight difference, but around 20% difference is bad. And most step apps I’ve tried seem to think me sitting in the passenger seat of a car means I’m taking lots of steps.

So hopefully things like the S5, new Galaxy Gears, and that Epson fitband that’s coming this summer will be more accurate “strapless” alternatives to the classic measuring devices.
