Verizon Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 Price is Out of Reach

Published

on

As expected, this morning Verizon officially added two new Android tablets to its lineup of 4G LTE enabled devices. Those being the LG G Pad 8.3, and the massive 12.2-inch Samsung Galaxy Note Pro tablet.

One of these devices is priced to sell and should be pretty popular amongst tablet buyers looking for a 4G LTE device. And the other, well, is simply priced out of reach. The LG G Pad is available for just $99 with a new 2-year contract, or $299 outright, which is actually lower than the WiFi model being $349. However, the Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2-inch tablet is $850. Yes, $850, and getting it with a 2-year contract doesn’t lower the cost much.

Note-Pro

We get it. The Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 is an impressive tablet packed full of stunning features, an S-Pen for taking notes on the display, creating content, and has a beautiful faux-leather design all covering up a new interface and Android 4.4 KitKat. That said, the LG G Pad 8.3 has a brilliant 1080p display too, a quad-core processor, and is only $299.

Verizon is asking $850 for the Galaxy Note Pro 12.2, and if you’d like to sign away a 2-year contact agreement that price drops down to $749. That’s it, $100 off to sign a 2-year contract. But hey, that comes with free overnight shipping if you order online.

The $749 price may be pretty high, but you’re getting arguably the best tablet around. The 12.2-inch display sports a gorgeous 2560 x 1600 resolution screen, the tablet is powered by a 2.3 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor with 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, micro-SD support for adding additional storage, a Infrared port for remote control abilities, and of course the S-Pen stylus.

The Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 is one of the most feature-packed tablets available today, but it’s also rather large and certainly isn’t extremely portable. Lugging around a 12.2-inch device with 4G LTE isn’t ideal, but for those who need it, it could be extremely useful.

The $749 and $849 price may be a bit hard to swallow, and possibly out of reach for many, but hopefully we see some deals or discounts in the future.
