5 Best Sprint Smartphones [March, 2014]

on

Consumers in the hunt for a brand new Sprint smartphone this month are going to run into a ton of options and many people are going to have a difficult time narrowing those options down. Here, we do the narrowing down for you and take a look at the devices that we think make up the best Sprint smartphones in March.

The Now Network remains the only major carrier that allows new customers to sign up for pure, unlimited data. AT&T and Verizon still offer it to those grandfathered into unlimited data plans but those who need to move aren’t going to find true unlimited data. This remains Sprint’s bread and butter and one of the reasons why it’s able to compete with its rivals.

In addition to its unlimited data, Sprint also boasts a large 4G LTE network that is now available in more than 300 markets in the United States. It’s smaller than the 4G LTE networks of AT&T and Verizon but it still covers a large swath of land.

The carrier has also made it a point to be first to major Android software updates. Speed is huge in the world of Android updates and Sprint has been first, or close to first, to every recent major Android upgrade. While it hasn’t admitted it, it’s clear an attempt to keep customers on board in the face of stiffer opposition.

Sprint’s also remains attractive due to its large selection of top notch smartphones. Problem is, this can be overwhelming to some people, especially for those that don’t have their finger on the pulse of the smartphone industry. We want to help make things easier.

Every month we offer our opinion on the first best smartphones for all four major U.S. carriers. We’ve already taken a look at the best that AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon have to offer and now, it’s time to take a look at the best of Sprint’s lineup.

When deciding on the smartphones that make this list, we take a number of things into consideration including hardware, software, age, and price. The devices that make the final cut are the devices that we consider to be the best all-around devices on a given network.

That said, for those who are in the hunt right now, we present the devices we consider to be the five best Sprint smartphones for the month of March, 2014.

iPhone 5s

iPhone 5s

The iPhone 5s is Apple's flagship smartphone and it's also one of the best smartphones available for Sprint's 4G LTE network. It will likely remain one of the top options until the iPhone 6 arrives later on this year.

What makes the iPhone 5s so good is that it's solid all-around. Its camera is fantastic, its display offers beautiful looking content, it provides superb software support, it comes with a 64-bit processor, and its industrial design is one of the best on the market.

This is a phone that shoppers need to have on their list during the month of March because it's simply one of the best smartphones available.
