The Samsung Galaxy S4 and Samsung Galaxy Galaxy Note 3 Android 4.4 KitKat release continues at an extremely fast pace as both the Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy S4 Android 4.4 KitKat updates have splashed down for users in one of Samsung’s largest markets.

In January, Samsung started to push out the Galaxy Note 3 Android 4.4 KitKat update. Several weeks later, the Galaxy S4 Android 4.4 KitKat update emerged from hiding. Since then, the Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy S4 Android 4.4 updates have been pushing out at a blistering pace to users across the globe.

Yesterday, we saw the Galaxy S4 Android 4.4 KitKat update emerge for users on T-Mobile in the United States and today, the Galaxy S4 and Galaxy Note 3 Android 4.4 KitKat updates have landed for users in the United Kingdom.

We’ve heard that both updates have started landing in the UK, something that Android Central has backed up with a report of its own. The updates appear to have landed for the unlocked versions of the Galaxy S4 and the Galaxy Note 3 though it appears that the updates have landed for branded  variants as well including the model found on EE UK.

The updates appear to be similar to the Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy S4 Android 4.4 KitKat updates that we’ve seen roll out in the United States. Instead of massive changes, the updates will bring Android 4.4 KitKat features and some subtle tweaks. Android 4.4 KitKat is very much considered an incremental update.

That said, carriers in the U.S. have been putting their own spin on the updates with unique enhancements and fixes and it wouldn’t be too surprising to see carriers in other regions follow suit.

Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy S4 owners in the United Kingdom should remain patient as Samsung and its carrier partners typically take weeks, if not months, to deploy major Android updates.

Samsung’s Galaxy S4 and Galaxy Note 3 Android 4.4 KitKat updates have been moving at an extremely fast pace, particularly in the United States. The Galaxy S4 Android 4.4 update is currently available on AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, and U.S. Cellular. A Verizon Galaxy S4 update remains at the moment.

We’ve heard that the Verizon Galaxy S4 Android 4.4 KitKat update is currently in testing though we have been unable to confirm a specific release date for users.

The Galaxy Note 3 Android 4.4 KitKat has landed for three of the five major carriers in the U.S. including Sprint, T-Mobile, and U.S. Cellular. The AT&T and Verizon Galaxy Note 3 Android 4.4 KitKat updates remain missing. We’ve also seen a number of Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy S4 Android 4.4 KitKat updates land in Europe and Asia.

These two updates are just the first in line. Samsung confirmed a number of other Galaxy Android 4.4 KitKat updates for arrival including Galaxy Note 2 and Galaxy S3 Android 4.4 KitKat updates. Those updates are rumored for March or April though we still haven’t seen anyone but Sprint confirm them for arrival.

These updates are a sad joke to all Galaxy S4 and Galaxy Note owners. Plain and simple DO NOT UPDATE your handset to 4.4.2 Kitkat from android 4.3 Jellybean if you value you’re third party applications or your sdcard usage.

This update Kitkat 4.4.2 changes the permissions and write/read of the sdcard so third party applications can’t save/move/delete/rename file to the sdcard.

Plain and simple my Note 2,and Note 3 will remain on 4.3 Jellybean period.

According to samsung the Verizon update will not affect 3rd party apps permission to read write to your sd card…I don’t have the update so I can’t prove it but I did save the transcript of my conversation with Samsung.
