The iPad sales keep rolling for 2014, with Target the next big store chain to offer up some enticing iPad deals. Using the store’s Cartwheel coupon service/app, shoppers have a couple of days left to save 15% off the first-generation 16GB iPad mini. Furthermore, you can save an additional 5% when you use your Target Red card when buying the tablet in-store.
That’s a total of 20% off of the original iPad mini tablet, which is only $239 that you’ll be paying after it’s all said and done — not a bad deal for those looking for a cheap tablet.
Target is also discounting the iPad Air by 10%, and again, using your Target Red card can chop off an additional 5% off the price. This means you can get the latest and greatest iPad for only $425, which isn’t the lowest we’ve ever seen for the iPad Air, but it certainly makes in the top five of the best iPad deals we’ve seen this year.
Unfortunately, the Retina-equipped iPad mini isn’t on sale, which is quite a bummer considering how much better it is than the first-generation iPad mini, but $239 for an iPad regardless is pretty impressive, and while the tablet has slower internals and lower-resolution display, we can’t help but say that it would be a fine tablet for casual users.
2014 has been the year of iPad sales so far, with deals coming from every which direction from practically every big franchise store. Walmart had a big sale on the iPad 2 at $299 and Staples recently took $30 off on every iPad model. Best Buy also knocked $50 off the price of the iPad Air back in January, allowing consumers to pick one up for as little as $450.
All of these deals came at off-peak shopping times (save for Valentine’s Day, we suppose), so we can’t imagine what future sales will be like throughout the year and even leading up to Apple’s annual fall event where the company usually announces a new iPad model.
