Nexus 5 & Nexus 7 Android 4.4.3 Updates Spotted Ahead of Release

Google’s Nexus 5 and Nexus 7 Android 4.4.3 KitKat updates have been spotted ahead of their release, all but confirming Nexus 5, Nexus 7, Nexus 10, and Nexus 4 Android 4.4.3 KitKat updates at some point down the road.

Earlier this week, Android 4.4.3 KitKat rumors emerged as three credible sources all claimed that Google had the brand new update in testing and that it would be rolling out to users in two to three weeks. The update was spotted for the Nexus 5, all but confirming it for arrival, and today the Nexus 5 Android 4.4.3 KitKat update has been spotted again alongside the Nexus 7 Android 4.4.3 KitKat update.

Myce spotted a new Android 4.4.3 KitKat update build, KTU83, running on the Nexus 5 and the Nexus 7. Specifically, the user appears to be running the new Android KitKat build on the Nexus 7 2013, Google’s current version of the Nexus 7. Myce says that the build is extremely new and may have been cooked up on March 21st. This could mean that KTU83 will be the final Android 4.4.3 KitKat build given how close the release date is rumored to be.

The Android 4.4.3 KitKat build that was spotted earlier this week was KTU72B which means that KTU83 is a newer version of Google’s Android 4.4.3 KitKat update.

The appearance of the Nexus 7 Android 4.4.3 KitKat update is a good sign for all Nexus users. Not only does it confirm Nexus 5 and Nexus 7 Android 4.4.3 updates but it means that there is a very good chance that Android 4.4.3 KitKat will roll out to all Nexus devices running the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update.

It’s very rare that we see Google get selective with its Android updates and we know that Nexus owners of all shapes and sizes are dealing with Android 4.4.2 KitKat problems.

Nexus5-more

The Android 4.4.3 KitKat update is said to be a KitKat bug fix update and well known HTC insider LlabTooFeR claims that it will come with a fix for camera issues. We’ve heard that the Nexus 5 is suffering from a camera issue that is depleting its battery life so it’s possible that Android 4.4.3 KitKat will bring a fix for Nexus 5 users soon. Google promised a number of other fixes for Nexus devices though none of them have been confirmed for Android 4.4.3 KitKat.

It’s still not clear exactly when Google will push this update out and it usually does not confirm roll outs ahead of time which means Nexus users were probably be flying in blind. From the looks of things though, an Android 4.4.3 KitKat update appears imminent for owners of the Nexus 5 and Nexus 7 and probably the Nexus 4 and Nexus 10 as well.
