New Nexus 10 Rumors Ignite Thanks to Google

The Google Nexus 10 Tablet made by Samsung sold out on the Google Play Store nearly five months ago, and we’ve seen no signs of it making a return. We have however, heard multiple rumors that Google will be reintroducing a brand new Nexus 10 sometime this year.

Back before Google revealed the Nexus 5 on Halloween and launched the new phone in November, reports and rumors were running wild that an all-new Nexus 10 from Samsung or even LG was in the works, which eventually fizzled out. They returned in January during CES, and now we’re left with the impressive Nexus 7, and new rumors that Google and ASUS (or HTC) will debut a new Nexus 8 tablet in June. However, as of today the Nexus 1o rumors are firing back up thanks to a small change by Google to the Play Store.

The Nexus 10 has been sold out for months, and since first being sold out the Google Play Store Nexus 10 listing has said “out of inventory” or “check back later” with no additional details. Nearly 6 months later, today it was changed to “coming soon” but we can’t see Google randomly bringing the somewhat impressive but rather unpopular tablet back to the market.

It’s hard to guess what this means, but if any of the multiple previous leaks and rumors were remotely correct, we could be seeing an all-new Samsung or LG Nexus 10 in the coming weeks or months. Most likely it would make a debut at Google I/O this June, but with the storefront already changing Google could have something coming much sooner. Possibly even debuting with the rumored Android 4.4.3 KitKat update.

The latest reports have Google tapping LG for a Nexus 8 to be launched in July after being announced at the end of June for Google I/O, but we could also see the HTC Nexus 10 make a debut as well.

Of course these are still only rumors, but there’s more than a few things brewing at Google’s HQ, and buyers will probably be waiting until Google I/O on June 25-26th to find out what’s in store.
