5 Best Shopping Apps for iPhone

Published

on

One thing that every human being does in their lifetime is shop, so why not take advantage of it by finding the best deals and even being rewarded for your trip to the store? These are some of the best shopping apps for iPhone that you should check out.

You’d be surprised at how many shoppers don’t use the power of their iPhone when they’re out shopping. Many users are still sticking with old-school coupon books and sifting through the Sunday newspaper circulars to find the best deals. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with that, but you can make your life so much easier if you use these apps on your iPhone, and you’ll be saving even more money by doing so.

There are shopping apps that can find you the best deal on a particular product, provide you with the latest coupons for any store, and even reward you for just visiting stores. Here are five shopping apps for iPhone that we recommend using the next time you grab a shopping cart.

Amazon Price Check

Amazon’s main shopping app is great for finding what you need and quickly ordering it without a hassle, thanks to its one-click ordering system, but if you’re ever at a store and want to find out what a particular item costs on Amazon, use the company’s Price Check app. You can scan the bar code of the item and Amazon will instantly tell you how much it costs on Amazon.com. Spoiler alert: it’s usually cheaper on Amazon.

Price Check is especially handy if you use Amazon religiously and have a Prime membership, since you can get free two-day shipping or one-day shipping for just a couple extra dollars. Of course, it’s always nice when you can just buy something at the store and have it with you instantly, but if buying it on Amazon will save you a good amount of cash, waiting a couple of days is well worth it.

RetailMeNot

When it comes to digital coupons, there are many apps that will provide you with great savings, including a store’s own in-house app, but RetailMeNot is about the best app for iPhone that has thousands of stores available with coupons available for each.

You can browse by store (or just show stores that are nearest to you). Once you find a coupon that you want to use, just tap on it to bring up the coupon’s bar code and have the clerk scan it. It’s probably the easiest coupon app we’ve used, and it’s about the quickest and easiest way to save a few bucks here and there.

Slickdeals

When it comes to finding out about general deals at thousands of stores (both online and offline), Slickdeals is one of the best around, and its iPhone app can be handy when you’re out and about.

Slickdeals is all about crowdsourcing, so loyal users are constantly posting new deals to the website, and the best ones usually get pushed to the front page.

Better yet, you can set up push notifications to get front-page deals sent to your iPhone, or you can set up deal alerts for specific products and receive a push notification for whenever there’s a deal on that item.

Another great thing about Slickdeals is that it’s interactive. After you create an account, you can vote on deals, leave comments, and even start posting your own deals that you find on the internet.

Diapers.com & Soap.com

One of the biggest family of shopping websites on the internet is run by a company called Quidsi, but you may know it better by websites like Diapers.com, Soap.com and Casa.com. These websites together offer pretty much everything you would need.

Thus, the iPhone apps for these websites allow you to quickly find what you’re looking for and order it without any trouble. It’s definitely one of Amazon’s biggest competitors, and while they don’t offer free two-day shipping for any order (like Prime members get), Diapers.com, Soap.com and other sister websites will provide you with free two-day shipping on orders over $49, and that’s not a big number to hit, especially if you have a lot of items you need to order.

Shopkick

There are plenty of shopping apps that provide you great deals on products, but what about apps that reward you for shopping in a different way? Shopkick gives you points, or “kicks,” for visiting different stores, scanning items, or making a purchase.

That’s right: you can earn points in Shopkick just by visiting a store and scanning an item’s bar code — you don’t even need to buy anything.

You can then redeem points that you earn for gift cards to various stores. It’s definitely a worthwhile app and it can even turn into a game, which is great for your kids to play if you ever go out shopping, and we know how much kids hate shopping. It’s like cruel and unusual punishment, but when you turn it into a game, it changes everything.
