Hisense Sero 8

Hisense may not be a household name, but they have an excellent tablet that should be on every buyers radar. Last year the Sero 7 was essentially an original 2012 Nexus 7 clone, and this year the new Hisense Sero 8 looks to be even better. Launched last month in June, the Sero 8 is only $129 and is an excellent option.

Available at Walmart the Hisense Sero 8 delivers an 8-inch 720p HD display, runs a new version of Android 4.4.2 KitKat, rather than old outdated versions from other budget options, and even offers a micro-SD slot for expandable storage. You'll have a quad-core MediaTek processor with 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, and dual cameras for those who'd still like a camera on their tablet.

It has a simple and sleek design, thin bezels on the sides, and of course running Android 4.4.2 KitKat and everything mentioned above for only $129 makes this one of (if not the best) cheap Android tablet available today.

The Tegra Note only has 1gb RAM. Even with that limitation though the thing runs great, very rarely do I run into any hiccups. The other specs more than make up for it. If a K1 version comes out I’ll definitely be buying it. Will never touch a Nexus device again after how buggy the 2013 N7 is.
