As we've pointed out numerous times, the new HTC One M8 is a device that walks the walk and talks the talk. This is a device that is certainly one of the LG G3's top competitors and thanks to its declining price tag, it's a device that prospective LG G2 buyers must consider.

HTC's top flight smartphone comes with an impressive sheet of features which include a spacious full HD display, speedy processor for games and multitasking, an impressive UltraPixel camera, and more. It also features HTC's Sense UI which some people like better than the software on board LG's smartphones.

Like the Galaxy S5 price, the HTC One M8's price has dropped considerably since launch making it a smartphone that we think you need to rule out before buying last year's LG flagship.

Funny, I swapped my LG G2 for a Nokia 1020 and have upgraded it to 8.1 with the Developer Preview option (which by the way anyone can be part of easily and for free) and I haven’t looked back. The Nokia 1020 with 8.1 completely outclasses the G2 or any of the other phones listed here minus the G3 which is a stout competitor. I say it’s funny because while the Nokia is also a year old, it is still regarded by those that use it as a powerful sturdy device with surprising capabilities for it’s age. Word has it that the Nokia Mclaren (code name) is the next phone that will succeed the 1020’s place atop the camera phone heap that the 1020 has held for over a year. Can’t wait to see that beast and hope it keeps up with the 1020’s robustness and capabilities.

The N5 is an appealing prospect. But considering price an screen realestate. I think I’ll go whit the G2. I mean, compared with the likes of the SGS4, HTC’s one m7 and motoX.
