It’s not clear if the new Destiny beta players without a pre-order can collect the special beta emblem and rewards on Saturday, but it seems very likely. At 2 PM Pacific, 5PM Eastern Bungie is offering a special emblem to players who join the Destiny beta for a major stress test.

This is a large download and in most cases you’ll experience a dual-download that takes place in two parts. If you are abel to start this a few hours before you plan to play, that is the best.

You need a PlayStation Plus account or a Xbox Live account to access the Destiny beta without a pre-order. If you own an Xbox 360 without a hard drive you can also not play the Destiny beta.

For the Xbox One and Xbox 360 you can go to the Marketplace to download the game. You can visit online to download the Destiny beta to your Xbox 360 without a pre-order. On the Xbox One you can search Apps & Games for the Destiny beta and start the download. On the Xbox One, do not try to launch the game when it first says you can.
