And while that’s an extremely nice gesture, we almost always see the live stream experience some hiccups under the strain of thousands of eyes. We think that the same will happen with the Galaxy Note 4 launch date live stream.

The Galaxy Note 4 is an extremely popular smartphone at the moment because of its rumored features and because it’s expected to arrive in and around the same time as the iPhone 6. The Galaxy Note 4 is one of the last big smartphone launches of the year and those looking to upgrade are interested to see how this new top tier smartphone matches up with the iPhone 6.

Thus, we expect there to be a ton of people watching. And when there are a ton of people watching, we typically see live streams experience issues. We do expect Samsung to announce most pertinent Galaxy Note 4 details. From the global release date to the Galaxy Note 4 specs to the carriers that will support it around the world. However, we don’t expect every last detail to emerge.

For instance, we don’t expect Samsung to be clear about color options. We almost always see it announce new colors but fail to announce specifics about their release dates. With the Galaxy S5, the company introduced blue and gold models and both went weeks without any details. The same happened with the pink Galaxy Note 3.

We don’t expect the company to nail down pricing at the event. It will likely leave those announcements up to individual carriers after the event. It might suggest a MSRP but don’t expect it to run down each and every price and storage option for hundreds of carriers.

Finally, don’t expect it to reveal every single detail regarding Galaxy Note 4 accessories. The company always announces new accessories on stage and almost always, we’re left without specific pricing or a specific release date. We could see a few official accessories arrive with the Galaxy Note 4 but there will likely be some that take weeks to arrive. Don’t expect specific details on those at the Galaxy Note 4 launch event.

Galaxy Note 4 Software Release Details

We expect to hear all about software at the Galaxy Note 4 launch event though we don’t expect Samsung to outline specific plans for the Galaxy Note 4 software and older devices.

Samsung historically has delivered new software features to older devices. The latest example is the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update which delivered Galaxy S5 features to select smartphones. Samsung might mention a plan to release new S Pen software for the Galaxy Note 3 at a later date but don’t expect it to announce the specific features or a specific release date.

Again, Samsung typically takes its time when it comes to these announcements. And with an Android L release still unknown, we’re likely weeks if not months away from releases for Galaxy-branded smartphones.

Software release dates are also extremely hard to nail down due to the release process so even if Samsung decides to announce a plan to roll out Android L, don’t expect those plans to be specific or firm.

Surprises

We expect the Galaxy Note 4 to be joined by new wearables including a Gear VR virtual reality headset and a brand new smartwatch that could be called Gear Solo. There are also rumors that suggest that we could see Samsung announce two versions of the Galaxy Note 4, a flat model and a three-sided model for select regions around the world.

With a ton of announcements on the way, we aren’t expecting Samsung to deliver any big time surprises. Don’t expect the company to allude to a Galaxy S6 release or for the company to debut a Galaxy Note 4 mini or anything like that. This is a Samsung event and we almost always know what will be announced ahead of time.

Signs are pointing to three big time releases and not much else. So don’t get your hopes up. We should see a pretty straightforward Samsung Galaxy Note 4 launch date.

Galaxy Note 4 Deals

Finally, don’t expect any Galaxy Note 4 deals to be announced on the Galaxy Note 4 launch date. There will no doubt be Galaxy Note 4 deals at retailers like Amazon but those retailers never announce their plans ahead of time. Instead, the deals just kind of show up on the release day.

It’s possible that we’ll see carriers offer some added incentive but again, we’d expect those deals to emerge with pre-orders or in separate announcements after the Galaxy Note 4 smoke clears.
