Earlier this month after tons of hype, rumors, and leaks the all-new Moto 360 smartwatch was officially released. It first debuted in March along with Android Wear, Google’s operating system built for wearable devices, but took months to finally arrive for prospective buyers.

The initial release back on September 5th was extremely limited, with stock running out from all sources, but now it looks like things are finally back on track, orders are shipping, and two new options could be coming in November.

A few weeks ago leaks surfaced suggesting the new Moto 360 smartwatch would arrive in an all metal option, rather than the two leather bands available today. Starting at $279 for the all stainless steal option sometime in November. However, this weekend Motorola sent out a few emails (and quickly removed the pages) showing a brand new gold Moto 360.

The Moto 360 smartwatch currently available from Motorola.com and select Best Buy stores only comes in two variants. Those being a black option with a black strap, and a silver and grey leather band alternative. Both look great, but black has been out of stock for most of the month.

Supplies are limited even though both the Google Play Store and Motorola’s own webstore have started shipping orders out early, but come November at least two more options could arrive. The Apple Watch will come in a variety of choices, and Moto could look to combat that by delivering a few more choices for prospective smartwatch buyers.

Initial leaks had many thinking the Moto 360 would be available on MotoMaker.com with an array of bands, leather straps, and more, but that never happened. Aside from the leaked all stainless steel options mentioned above (and pictured below) there’s no other details on another variant. Until now. This weekend PocketNow received word a gold Moto 360 release could be near.

The Moto 360 stainless release date comes later this year.

Above is the stainless steel Moto 360 we’re hearing will debut on November 11th for $279, but the image at the top of the page suggests Motorola could also launch a gold premium option, likely at a higher price point.

Motorola has made a name for itself the past year for customization with the Moto X smartphone, so it only makes sense we’ll eventually see the same type of options for their new smartwatch.

Whether you want to call it Bronze or Gold, the device pictured above looks really sharp for those who’d rather not have a traditional silver timepiece. AndroidPolice reached out to Motorola regarding the image, who wouldn’t confirm a Gold Moto 360, but did say, “we’re always exploring new materials and we intend to provide Moto 360 in a selection of styles in the future.”

The image was spotted on Motorola’s own site, and is now gone, but so far that is all we know. The company could be planning more colors, finishes, bands, leather straps and more, but so far have been silent regarding what we can expect. The gold option is now gone from any and all images, and buyers are left in the dark, once again, regarding the Moto 360 smartwatch.

Currently the Moto 360 is available in the two colors mentioned above, with a steel option coming at a later date. If this leak and other Moto products are any indication though, buyers will have a lot more choices for the Moto 360 in the very near future.
