Moto 360 In Stock Now as Shortages Continue

Published

on

At the beginning on the month after weeks and weeks of waiting the new Moto 360 smartwatch was finally released for eager buyers. The initial launch in the first week of September didn’t last long with inventory selling out within hours, but today we have good news as the Moto 360 is back in stock directly from Motorola.

Motorola’s new smartwatch, the Moto 360, which is powered by Google’s new Android Wear mobile operating system designed for wearable devices has been in and out of stock from all outlets. Everywhere from Motorola.com, Best Buy, and even the Google Play Store have been out of stock, and delaying shipments late into the month.

The second wave of stock arrived on September 16th when Motorola re-opened its online store with more inventory, allowing prospective buyers to get the new watch. Most of those ordered didn’t ship until last week, even if a few were sent early, and now buyers have another chance right now.

In an official blog post a few weeks ago Motorola detailed tons of their upcoming products release dates and availability, then at the bottom confirmed what many hopeful Moto 360 buyers have been waiting to hear. That more stock will be available soon. That finally happened on September 16th as mentioned above, and now today they’ve confirmed it again.

This morning Motorola announced on Twitter that the Moto 360 is back in stock, for a limited time, and that quantities are limited. This means they probably won’t last long, and they’re still having some inventory issues but are trying hard to meet consumer demand.

Sadly this is for the U.S. only as stated above, and other regions are still left without any stock of the new Moto 360 smartwatch. It’s still listed as out of stock from the Google Play Store, and most Best Buy stores in the entire western region I live in still don’t have any stock.

The release date and launch hasn’t been very smooth. Ordered were sent wrong out of the gate, stock lasted less than an hour, and some shipments have arrived early for buyers while others have been waiting weeks past expected delivery dates. We’re not sure what’s going on, but things are at least starting to look better with more stock on hand.

Those looking to buy the impressive Moto 360 smartwatch can get it right now in both silver and grey, or the black on black color from Motorola.com, but they won’t last long. On the 16th stock was available for most of the day, but shipments eventually were delayed into early October. Most likely orders placed today won’t ship until next week, but we’ll update once we see reports on estimated shipping times.

It’s also worth noting that this week Google and Motorola pushed an update out to the 360 that dramatically improved battery life. One of the few complaints of this Android Wear smartwatch has been battery life, but the recent update solved this issue. Anyone that is still on the fence regarding the Moto 360 may want to hurry, as supplies won’t last long.

As a reminder, rumor has it that both the all stainless steel version and possibly a gold Moto 360 will be released in October or early November. We’ll update as we learn more details.

I have been looking and looking for answers as to why Verizon isn’t shipping their preordered Note 4’s til the 23rd!! All they can tell me is that it’s about the availability. Amazon said “Released Oct. 17th” but now says the 23rd over the last week. I did confirm with Verizon that stores will get the Note 4 on the 17th so that’s what I’m going to do. I think preordering it is totally not worth it right now. Another strange thing I can’t quite figure out is Best Buy had it listed at $299.99 on their site for Verizon and listed as “Coming soon.” But yesterday the price jumped up to $349.99. Why would they charge $50 more than everyone else? Maybe it’s a mistake and will be fixed before it goes on preorder/sale??

This whole waiting game is not for me, come out already Note 4!!
