on

The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 release date is confirmed for October and it will be hitting 140 countries by the end of the month. With a Galaxy Note 4 release date in sight, we want to take a look at the most essential Galaxy Note 4 release details we’ve found in the month since the Galaxy Note 4’s launch date in early September.

Samsung’s all new Galaxy Note 4 is an impressive smartphone and it comes loaded with high-powered specs including its 5.7-inch Quad HD display, its brand new 16MP camera with Optical Image Stabilization, its new S Pen, its Android 4.4.4 KitKat software that’s backed by TouchWiz, its new design that comes with both plastic and metal materials, and a whole lot more. It’s a true iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus competitor and one of the more intriguing smartphones of the year.

The Galaxy Note 4 will replace the current Galaxy Note 3 and it will be joined later in the year by a brand new Samsung Galaxy Edge, a high-end flagship that is also coming to the United States and a number of other select countries. The focus for many though is on the Galaxy Note 4, Samsung’s well know flagship and the device that’s just days away from arrival.

In the weeks since the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 announcement in early September, we’ve seen a ton of new Galaxy Note 4 release date details emerge for buyers in the U.S. and all over the world. The past three weeks in particular have been exciting as we’ve seen Galaxy Note 4 release dates confirmed, Galaxy Note pre-orders begin, and Galaxy Note 4 price information touch down.

In the past week alone we’ve seen a number of Galaxy Note 4 release date details start to swirl around, details that might be hard to track down. With that in mind, we want to take a look at the essential Galaxy Note 4 release date details, the things every consumer needs to know about as we approach the Galaxy Note 4 release date in October.

Galaxy Note 4 Release Date Set for October

The first thing you need to know is that the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 release date is set for this month and that it will be landing for 140 countries by the end of October. Samsung and its partners have announced a number of key dates including an October 10th release for our friends in the United Kingdom and an October 17th release date for the U.S. These two dates will likely stick.

The Galaxy Note 4 release date is in October for U.S. carriers.

The Galaxy Note 4 release date is in October for U.S. carriers.

These dates are important because they represent the moment at which you will be able to finally go hands-on with the Galaxy Note 4, in the flesh, ahead of your next smartphone upgrade. This is absolutely essential for prospective buyers because choosing a smartphone is a very personal decision and one that simply should not be made from behind a computer screen unless you have ample experience with smartphones.

This is also the day that the Galaxy Note 4 will arrive in retailers across the world, something that will give consumers an alternative to Samsung and its carrier partners. Something to keep in mind as we get closer to mid-October.

Galaxy Note 4 Pre-Orders Live in U.S.

Galaxy Note 4 pre-orders are live in most places including the United States where AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint, and Verizon are all taking early orders for the Galaxy Note 4. AT&T says that it will start shipping the Galaxy Note 4 by October 14th which means that there’s a very good chance it will arrive ahead of its October 17th release date.

While that incentive is certainly nice, we don’t recommend pre-ordering the Galaxy Note 4 if you haven’t ever spent time with a Galaxy Note or if you haven’t checked out the Galaxy Note 4’s competition. If you can, wait it out and go hands on with the Galaxy Note 4 before you decide. It’s the smart decision and one that you probably won’t regret. The Galaxy Note 4 isn’t going anywhere.

AT&T Galaxy Note 4 Price & Deals

The AT&T Galaxy Note 4 will cost $299.99 on-contract. You can also pick one up on AT&T’s Next plan. Off-contract though, the AT&T Galaxy Note 4 is extremely expensive and will check in at a whopping $826. That’s an insane price tag and one that has probably caused many prospective buyers to moan and groan.

In the past few weeks though, we’ve discovered some Galaxy Note 4 deals, some of which apply to the AT&T Galaxy Note 4. Best Buy is charging $800 ($26 difference) for the AT&T Galaxy Note 4 off-contract. That’s not a huge deal but it’s a deal nonetheless. Amazon, also taking pre-orders for the Galaxy Note 4, is charging the same thing.

Both are currently charging $299.99 on-contract though we suspect that Amazon will drop the price at some point shortly after the Galaxy Note 4’s arrival later on this month.

Sprint Galaxy Note 4 Price & Deals

Last year, Sprint shocked many customers when it charged $350 on-contract for the Galaxy Note 3. This year, the carrier initially made the same shocking decision and started charging $350 for the Galaxy Note 4 on-contract. That was $50 more than its rivals and a price tag that could have potentially priced some consumers out.

The carrier backtracked though and is now charging $299.99 on-contract. Amazon is also offering the Sprint Galaxy Note 4 for $299.99 on-contract. Both prices are the same as the AT&T Galaxy Note 4 and Verizon Galaxy Note 4 on-contract.

Verizon Galaxy Note 4 Release Date

Amazon lists the Verizon Galaxy Note 4 release date as October 23rd. This date matches up with the ship by date at Verizon. We’re not sure what the deal is but the Verizon Galaxy Note 4 release date was and still is confirmed for October 17th.

Perhaps we could see a difference between in-store and online though Verizon never made that clear in its Galaxy Note 4 announcement. Either way, the Verizon Galaxy Note 4 release date should land at some point in mid-October.

Verizon Galaxy Note 4 Price & Deals

Verizon’s offering the Galaxy Note 4 for $299.99 on-contract and on its Verizon Edge plan. It’s also charging $699 for the Galaxy Note 4 off-contract. This is interesting because that represents a $126 price difference between it and the AT&T Galaxy Note 4 off-contract. That’s huge.

We haven’t seen any huge deals though Best Buy is charging $692 ($8 difference) for the Verizon Galaxy Note 4. That’s not a massive deal but it will still save you some money in the long run. Amazon is charging Verizon pricing for the Galaxy Note 4 but again, we expect on-contract pricing to dip sometime in the weeks ahead.

U.S. Cellular Galaxy Note 4 Price & Pre-Orders

If you’re looking to buy the Galaxy Note 4 on U.S. Cellular, you still don’t have the option to pre-order. It’s still not clear when U.S. Cellular plans to release its Galaxy Note 4 price and with a few weeks to go before its October 17th release, it’s not clear if it plans to offer a pre-order.

At this point, we’d just assume that the Galaxy Note 4 will cost in and around the usual $299.99 price tag at U.S. Cellular. We’d also just assume that there won’t be a pre-order. Again, there’s no need to order the Galaxy Note 4 early so even if U.S. Cellular does surprise us with early orders, there’s good reason to avoid them.

Pink & Gold Galaxy Note 4 MIA

The Galaxy Note 4 will only be available in black and white when it hits the U.S. on October 17th. We still don’t know when the gold and pink Galaxy Note 4 models will touch down. In the past, it has taken Samsung weeks to issue these new colors so if you’re holding out for the gold or pink versions, you might be in for a long wait.

There’s also a chance that Samsung could offer an annoying exclusive on these colors but that, for the moment, remains unconfirmed. Prepare for the worst and hope for the best.

Free Galaxy Note 4

Looking to score a Galaxy Note 4 for free? Look no further than Samsung’s Twitter contest that requires you to use the #NotePunIntended hashtag to enter. Be creative and you could win a Galaxy Note 4 for AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, U.S. Cellular, or Verizon. You only have a few days to enter and all of the rules can be found here.

Galaxy Note 3 Deals

Finally, it’s important to note that there are a ton, we mean a ton, of Galaxy Note 3 deals swirling around. Carriers have chopped the Galaxy Note 3 price down, so has Best Buy who is now offering the Galaxy Note 3 for $99 on-contract.

This is why it’s important to wait to handle the Galaxy Note 4. Maybe you come away unimpressed by its hardware and software. Maybe it’s not worth the $300. Maybe you still want the Note but don’t want to pay that kind of money. The Galaxy Note 3 is an extremely solid alternative. It’s only a year old and it remains a very solid smartphone.

Keep an eye on these deals as we approach the Galaxy Note 4 release.
