The Nexus 6 release date arrives next month, but you can jump on Nexus 6 pre-orders in late October to buy the new Nexus phone on the top U.S. carriers or direct from Google.

Google announced the Nexus 6, Nexus 9 and a new Nexus set-top box today along with Android Lollipop, aka Android 5.0.

This is the largest Nexus phone to date with a 6-inch Quad HD display that delivers a higher resolution than many competing devices.

The Nexus 6 release date arrives in November.

Overall the Nexus 6 looks much like the Moto X 2014, but it is not the same device by any means. Here’s what we know from the Google Nexus 6 announcement.

Nexus 6 Release Date

The Nexus 6 release date is November 12th on T-Mobile. This is likely the same on Google Play and other carriers, but this is the first confirmation.

It would not be surprising to see the Verizon Nexus 6 release arrive after all other carriers and the unlocked options, simply due to the way Verizon handles launches. The Verizon Galaxy Note 4 release date is a week later on Verizon, for example.

Nexus 6 Carriers

The Nexus 6 carriers list is bigger than for the Nexus 5.

One shock is that the Nexus 6 carriers include all major U.S. carriers. This is a first for Google with support for the following carriers off the bat.

  • AT&T
  • T-Mobile
  • Sprint
  • Verizon
  • US Cellular

We will also see many pre-paid carriers support the Nexus 6 with SIM cards that users can drop in to get online with an unlocked Nexus 6 from Google Play.

Nexus 6 Pre-Orders

Google announced that Nexus 6 pre-orders start in late October. According to the Nexus 6 page, users can pre-order at all carriers except Verizon, at Best Buy and on Google Play.

You can sign up for more information about the Nexus 6 pre-orders, but there is no specific time or date. Typically the new Nexus pre-orders sell out fast for release date delivery.

Nexus 6 Features & Specs

Google delivers a large and powerful Nexus 6 with more memory, a very high-resolution display and a monster battery. Like the Galaxy Note 4 and LG G3 the Nexus 6 features a large Quad HD display. The 5.96-inch display features a 2,560 x 1,440 resolution with 493 pixels per inch. There is a 3,220 mAh battery inside along with a Snapdragon 805 Quad Core processor and Adreno 420 GPU. Users can pick between 32GB and 64GB of internal storage on the Nexus 6.

The Nexus 6 includes a fast charging mode.

There is a 13MP camera on the back with optical image stabilization that should help you take better photos in low light and a 2MP front-facing camera.

Users can also quick charge the Nexus 6, gaining six hours of battery life in just 15 minutes of charging. Google promises over 24 hours of Nexus 6 battery life with a full charge.

Nexus 6 Price

The Nexus 6 price is still missing. Google announced everything else about the device, but kept the price out of the announcement.

Re/Code shares the Nexus 6 price as $649 off contract, which is an astounding jump from the traditional Nexus pricing.

This may be one reason more carriers are on board with the new Nexus as it is a more tempting options for payment plans like Jump, Edge and Next. Expect an on contract Nexus 6 price around $199 based on this price.

Last time I checked there is only one model of the nexus 6 . You should be able to get the same phone on Google play as it will appear on verizon just like the iphone 6 from apple for Verizon
