Nexus 9 Release Confirmed

This morning Google has finally announced the long awaited and highly rumored brand new HTC Nexus 9 tablet. It’s official. Confirming not only the new Nexus 9 tablet, but the Motorola Nexus 6 smartphone and new new settox box all running the completely redesigned Android 5.0 Lollipop.

Over the past few months multiple rumors emerged suggesting both of these devices were coming soon, and the last two weeks all but confirmed all the details. However, we now know every single detail around all these devices for those interested.

As expected thanks to an array of leaks and rumors, not to mention teasers by Google yesterday, they company has just announced all the details on the official Google Blog. The new Nexus 9 is a beautiful new Android 5.0 tablet that isn’t too big, but isn’t to small. It comes in three colors, and we have all the details below.

Google first debuted the all new Android L release back in June, giving developers and users an early preview of its upcoming mobile operating system. Today though they’ve officially confirmed it will be called Android 5.0 Lollipop, and the Nexus 9 will be the first device to run Google’s new and improved OS.

So what can users expect from the all-new Nexus 9 and Android 5.0, just about everything we’ve been seeing from rumors over the past few weeks. Google’s new slate comes with a powerful 64 bit processor, and has been improved in every single aspect across the board. Before we get started check out the intro video below.

Here’s the now official full specs of the new Google Nexus 9 tablet.

The Nexus 9 will come with a magnetic keyboard folio case for those who want to do more, and that will all be possible with the much improved Android 5.0 Lollipop. From a more secure version of Android, easier workflow, improved multi-tasking, and the perfectly sized 8.9-inch display.

Nexus 9 Release Date & Price

So when can you get one? This morning Google announced the new Nexus 9 will be available for pre-order starting October 17th, and will hit retail stores on November 3rd. However, no official pricing details were revealed today.

That being said, we’ve heard from an array of sources that the new Nexus 9 will be $399 for the 16GB model, and $499 for the 32GB version with 4G LTE. Although it’s highly possible three different version will be available. 16GB, 32GB, and a 32GB 4G LTE variant as well.

    Well the android L will be released for nexus 5 by 19th october. I came to know this as I unrooted my phone to stock today and while updating it back to android 4.4.2 it shows that update available until 19th october only.
    So, just conjecture..!!

      An updated Android L build for the Nexus 5 drops on the 17th.. I don’t think the official Nexus 5 Lollipop update will arrive two days later. Just saying.

      A preview tomorrow, yes, but the OTA won’t be for a few more weeks.
